There are other options on where to put it I'm sure but that's also why VA and front plates in general are really stupid.

I'm looking into options for the s2k so I can ditch the front plate (up high on the bumper). The truck is lifted so I mounted it down on the skid plate under the bumper after my first ticket and second time being asked by a cop about it. Got pulled on the highway just for that actually. Luckily my windows were already down lol.

Rolled with my buddy and my wife to C&C yesterday, it was by far the largest I have been to in Charlotte. We got there fairly late at maybe 9:00, there had to have been over a thousand cars there but people were already leaving. Why they gotta start this thing so early? 7:30 so aggressive on a Saturday morning. The south is definitely on its A game with our cars, so the usual beautiful exotics, restored classics were there. Why is it always the euro crowd acting the fool at these things?
On the way there: no dude neither the Z06 in front of you, myself or my buddy in his Saleen will race you in your fart canned GTI
While we are there: M3 kid couldn't be bothered to remove his front bumper to install an oil cooler. I really should have taken a picture of this but I didn't want him to feel like anyone was giving him props for it
As we were leaving: 3 M6/M5s got into an exhaust revving contest that greatly annoyed the classic guys they were driving by

Anyhow a lot of cool cars but here are some of the ones that stood out to me:

Got a couple pictures of the Jag that will probably float around on forums somewhere but all in all I still love my car after seeing so many other cool ones out there...it really is something special. I might have missed them but you could count on one hand the number of Jags there and I definitely didn't see another XFR.

I read that they are not legal for sale in some states because they cross the line into sort-of-a-car territory due to the bucket seats.

Yeah they borderline between a motorcycle and car in some states. It's stupid. In VA you need to wear a helmet in them because it's considered a motorcycle. Dumb

Saturday was spent at Carlisle for the All-Ford Nationals - went up there with resident Ford fanatic Matt and I was much excite as it was a special celebration of the Ford GT this year (10 yr anniversary)

A large building on the fairgrounds housed the centerpiece of the GT event, with a bunch of private cars, Robertson/Matech race cars, the 1 of 1 Sonic Blue Ford GT, and CP-1, the original prototype car. I spotted Camilo Pardo, the designer setting up some of his artwork, super talented guy.

After the GT's we came upon my 2nd favorite part of the show - the high-speed pursuit Mustang display. The level of detail in these cars was insane, and I had an interesting chat with one of the owners about what it takes to rebuild these cars after they were stripped at police auctions, and what its like to drive them on the street. I mean, where do you find a logbook from 1988?

Well shit...I heard nothing of this until you mentioned that. I checked their FB page and that really, really sucks Sad

I know the condo residents complained, and there was some increasing asshattery with the revs/flybys (nothing way over the top but it was happening) - I saw no cop presence on Sunday as I had before and most everyone seemed well-behaved, but I was there till about 9:30. It was a big turnout though - I guess Kohl's mgmt had enough.

Magic Matt is allegedly trying to work with management and figure out why it really got shut down. I wouldn't be surprised if they did just put the kibosh on it, so many chucklefucks in their custom airbrushed C6s with a 5000W sound system can't stand to leave that show without eating up a set of rear tires.

What really surprised me in reading the FB page is it sounds like if you show up and park on the Kohl's side facing Starbucks next Sunday, police will be there to harass and try to ticket you. Wtf? Sounds like it's going to be a shit show as I bet about 98% of the usual attendees won't get the message. I almost want to go to see that go down.

It was such a convenient event for me, I hope it manages to come back. It was a calm event IMO and given a chance I'm sure they could quell whatever meathead behavior that did occur from happening again.
