yeah.... I know... average joe american probably prefers a plate of brown stuff. Overcooked onions, soggy peppers, and LOTS OF MEAT ALL THE MEAT. And a single slice of tomato for profiling purposes.

In Jon's defense, when I think Fajitas I think of the sizzling plate hot off the grill with the onions good and caramelized and a bit of char on the peppers. Generally speaking though, veggies do not need to be cooked down to a pulp in order to be edible.

This exactly. Thank you. Those peppers look like it was just picked and chopped and thrown on the plate after everything else was cooked. I don't want mush, but when I'm eating fajitas I don't want an uncooked pepper.

So to the el charro camp, I went to el charro for a work dinner and got some random thing on the menu maybe 22 or 23. Idr. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. What should I have gotten ?

Next time get the tacos de carne asada, it's a good measuring stick of any mexican restaurant. I'm also partial to the enchiladas rancheras, which are fantastic, and cheap as hell. But, seriously, carne asada. Good shit.

I picked one of the combos that sounded like it had things I would enjoy.

I don't eat at Mexican restaurants very often. Usually just Qdoba which isn't really Mexican.
