Re: Stock Market Thread - RawrImAMonster - 12-20-2013 I think the one I was using is dogecoinpool.com. I can look when I get home. It's basically all video card based. CPU's can do it, but they aren't nearly as efficient/fast. If you have a nvidia card you want cudaminer, can't remember what the other one is for ATI cards. www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin has a getting started guide in the right sidebar. That's what I used. Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-20-2013 integrated video... i'm thinking that's my hang-up. Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-20-2013 cool. so i got an older version of cgminer and that's working (they took out gnu mining in 3.7.2). 12MH/s. let's get rich! Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-20-2013 Uh. This can't be right. http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dog ... alculator/ 11430Kh/s = 11.43Mh/s (my average). Electricity is free. Says I'll make $13/hr. Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-20-2013 My number keys began burning my fingers. Gonna leave this turned off while I have to work
Re: Stock Market Thread - HAULN-SS - 12-20-2013 F it. I am in on dogecoin too. I noticed the wallet GUI is written in Qt and I suspect the (edit: saw that its called cuda miner). I'm downloading the source and such too. Mayhap I'll find some optimizations to give us the edge. If I patch anything I'll let you guys know. (I'm a CUDA developer in real life) Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-21-2013 Does it look like I'm doing work? No idea what that means, but I did it. Still not seeing shit in my pool dashboard. Will let it chug overnight. Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-21-2013 Mined 20 coins last night. Current value is $.02.

What kidn of khash rate you seeing? I finally got everything set up and going, but I am just not 100% clear on what im doing exactly. I'm on dogepool.net for my pool...it said no fees, no donation, so thats good, right? Re: Stock Market Thread - HAULN-SS - 12-23-2013 Hrmm..so according to the pools dashboard i am only getting 50kh/s and it seems like most people with even a single 670 should be getting 110+. Must be doing something wrong. Edit - nevermine, tweaked something and that one is pull 450ish kh/s now Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-23-2013 You're asking the wrong person questions. I'm on suchcoins.com. 140 coins and counting! (I think that's like $.10, but I can't seem to find a DGC->USB calculator that doesn't suck). I get 7khash using a Macbook Air with integrated graphics. Not a rig to get anyone rich (actually costing my landlord more in electricity than I'm earning). Re: Stock Market Thread - HAULN-SS - 12-28-2013 Well I don't know what's going to happen but according to coinmarketcap, doges have gone from 6mil to 8mil capitalization, but there are a shitton of coins. I have so far mined about 30,000 Re: Stock Market Thread - Mike - 12-28-2013 Nice mining! I gave up mining since it was near worthless with my hardware. Bought 10k on eBay for $8. I figure getting in early for a few bucks to each of these "penny" crypto coins can't be too terrible an idea. When bitcoin finally gets banned, there will likely be a small period of time in which these others skyrocket. And $8? Fuggit. Unfortunately, value has been tanking. http://www.dogetools.com/graph/ Re: Stock Market Thread - HAULN-SS - 12-28-2013 Yeah...im thinking of dumping some resources into mastercoin and litecoin. Supposedly master was released as a coin that could be mined better on non asic type hardware. I mean hell if dogecoin even gets to the value of litecoin having some can't hurt. Same with the others. Re: Stock Market Thread - DierwulfBL - 01-06-2014 Coworker of mine ran into this scrypt mining pool, middlecoin. It only mines the most profitable scrypt coin at that time and automatically converts it to BTC for you, for anyone interested here it is: (3% fee + transactions, ~3.5% fee to go straight to BTC) http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/ R9 270x coming wednesday as I was due for a GPU upgrade anyhow
Re: Stock Market Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-06-2014 An email from my brother the FA  Quote:Another example of why bitcoin is going to be hard pressed to become a true currency. Things like this are popping up.
Re: Stock Market Thread - DierwulfBL - 01-07-2014 ^^^That is hilarious, but what makes something a "true currency"? In my eyes BTC is just as true as USD, both unbacked fiat currencies with imaginary value :dunno: Re: Stock Market Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-07-2014 DierwulfBL Wrote:^^^That is hilarious, but what makes something a "true currency"?
