Did you have like a pop-up show up with another GN while you were looking at this page? I didn't see anything disgusting on this whole page.

A 73' Civic with a poor fitting widebody is cool and you don't like the GN pictured above? Ban.

Agreed

i love me a GN. what i don't love is packing some goofy engine in to it and rolling on donks.

- HAULN-SS - 08-25-2008

It probably runs 10s with that goofy engine, and those are at most 18's..i'm just saying. I know this is dumb - but didnt PMR stuff a 6.6 into a malibu or something and it ran 10s? I thought it was an awesome idea for a cheap swap - you can get a used one for especially cheap, for the kind of power it's capable of.

- HAULN-SS - 08-25-2008

actually, we're all wrong: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/24/looks-can-deceive-6-6l-duramax-powered-buick-gnx-clone/">http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/24/look ... gnx-clone/</a><!-- m -->

It's an 81 Olds that originally came with a diesel, and it's slower than a stock GN.

"As of Diesel Power's publication, it ran an 8.25-second eighth of a mile, which they figure works out to somewhere in the 12s for the quarter"

oh, and it's apparently a DD

- CaptainHenreh - 08-25-2008

Those oldsmobile "350" diesels were dogs. GM did more to stifle diesels in the united states in that one engine than CARB has done in all it's history.

(Note: I'm not talking about the Bad-Ass 6.2 Diesels, either. Totally different.)

- HAULN-SS - 08-25-2008

Yeah, but as someone said in the comments on the blog, he likely did it so he'd have a title for a diesel car for emissions or some other purpose

- ScottyB - 09-03-2008
