i think its a low point in pro racing when they cheat. Smile

Low point at any time in life?

Why is it only the guys that "dont run" always say this?

how many people that "dont run" spent 12 years in the tech shed? :bootyshake:

More like a lot of race technicians and crew. NASA is stupid easy to cheat, but its usuually easy to spot like someone running away on the straightaway or "suddenly getting faster". Also when they arent nearly as fast in other people's cars. I ended the bantering that I was cheating in GTS2 by taking 3 other people's gts2 cars and either matching or going faster than my times in my own car. The cheating talk stopped

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 12-17-2015

everyone that gets up front and stays up front... especially early in their careers is going to have that questions asked. everyone thought Evan was cheating in SM. They were asking me about it and were shocked he was running JY motors and transmissions... you show them an overflowing laundry detergent bottle while "maintaining" the car and the look cross eyed at you.

the DC2 integra has been "punished" in TT due to previous DC2 TT cars cheating and successful non cheating cars. Heck there were pictures the driver would post online about the win with parts on the car that werent claimed and the car was never checked. the car was in TTF, but still. who knows how long i'll actually stay in TT because the points system doesnt line up to where i want to eventually go.

I've moved up the HPDE ranks pretty quickly and HC seems so far away... i might be stuck in TT for longer than i planned. Or i can just hang out in HPDE.

navin Wrote:RJ, what rear bar did you have on the old h4 integra...? Because the subframe is going to most likely tear if Kaan runs a 22/23 rear bar + no reinforcement. I'd think even more likely with the Hoosiers...

23, 24, and ASR bars. The ASR bar binds up the chassis, which is good if your objective is to make the rear suspension not work, but, it makes the car loose and a bit harder to drive. The rear suspension works reasonably well, so no need to do that.

I went back to the 23mm bar and more spring rate.

Kaan, I'd toss the cold air intake too and use the factory airbox, with the duct into the fender well, and take the points back. You wont see any HP gain. Remember... tires, diff, suspension. You wont get big HP out of that motor unless you start really digging into it which I think may not be worth any weight trade-off and it may cost you more than you have in the car now. Its not a spec class where 2hp makes a big difference.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 12-17-2015

I was tempted to even take the 5 points back for the header/exhaust... but i think the cost of the replacement parts would be crazy lol. i'm already 99% sure i'm dropping the intake tube... its not even an cold air intake.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 12-17-2015

The RJ keep it simple stupid point spread: aka “Tires, Diff, and Suspension”
Base Classe = TTF*
Base Weight = 2625

Base Class Points: +7
Tires: +10 (Hoohoo R7)
Tire Size: -1 (205 vs 215)
LSD Points: +3
Konis: +3
Ground Controls: +2
Point Total: 24 points (15 to spend)
New Class: TTE

I can replace the exhaust back to 100% stock replacements for about $250. I have my stock exhaust manifold, stock intake, and stock brakes. Assuming I’m keeping the stock transmission and adding a 4.9 FD (yay free mods)… I know weight plays a role in lap times… they wouldn’t penalize you with it AND without an instructor I was seeing the rev limiter MUCH earlier (300ish yards) on the straight.

Option 1: If I used ALL the left over points on weight I could get the car down to 2410lbs.

Option 2: If I take back the swaybars and brace, they leave me with 10 points. If I used those points for weight it gets me down to 2485.

Option 3: If I keep stock sway bars and spend the points on alignment stuff, that leaves me with 11 points… 11 points on weight gets the car down to 2470.

Option 4: Spend 12 more points on tires for hoosier A7s, have 3 points left over for moving to 225s (+2, 1 point plus negating the point back), leaving me 1 point to do nothing with. Weight, st

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 12-17-2015

also, it looks like i'm spending money on shocks no matter what. i'm at the max the OTS Konis can handle in the rear of the car now... and not that far off in the front. :burnvisa:

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 12-17-2015

You probably want more than the stock rear swaybar, but not the ASR monster and no brace. I wouldnt spend points on things to change your alignment you can get what you need at the right ride height and its SLA you dont need massive camber. Buy a diff, and use the rest of the points to drop weight. Drop as much weight as you can out of that car and then ballast up.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 12-18-2015

Kaan, you're in luck. I was cleaning out my office last night and found some old integra setup notes.

What I ended up with:

Front Camber: -2.7 (stock UCA's - I also had 225/50 tires, so you can get lower than I could)
Toe: -.10 (about 1/8" out, I think)
Rear Camber: -0.7 - I had adjustable arms but you can do this with shims and its in the FSM - should be no points

HPDE Weight -
LF: 826 RF: 780
LR: 500 RR: 435

2539 lbs/50.4% cross weight

I think race weight was 24xx, had roughly the same balance. If you're going to mostly run the car at summit/VIR might want to cross-weight it with a little wedge in it and be careful in Summit T3 and VIR T10.

Springs were 800/900, 25mm front swaybar, 22mm rear. SPSS3 koni valving, 1-1.5 turn in from full stiff depending on the track/conditions.

Notes said it pushed in lower speed corners there. Disconnecting the front bar made it turn in easier and go a little faster, made the car looser and I took that off - I really believe a super stiff bar just binds up and the subframe flexes, I always had trouble with the bar moving around or the bushings wearing abnormally. I also tried an ASR/Speedway style rear bar, 32mm x .095" thick, didnt make much difference there. I believe in the end I went back to the 22mm, and I know I played around with spring rates +/- 50-100 lbs on either end depending on the weekend but the overall balance didnt chance much. Get the car as loose as you can tolerate it based on your driving style and comfort level. I also had all metal suspension bushings, so that frees things up and lets the suspension work better.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 12-28-2015

if everything shakes out, i'll be dropping +3 points on a GSR trans with Mfactory plate LSD, carbon synchrotech synchros, and a bunch of new OEM parts/bearings.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - JPolen01 - 02-02-2016

That's pretty sweet looking! Wouldn't be too expensive to do the gold (yellow?)/black stripes in vinyl.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 02-02-2016

$60 including the 12 pack of PBR

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - JPolen01 - 02-02-2016

And you haven't commissioned this yet because?
