Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 09-08-2014

Hmm. Definitely like the exterior and power plant options but I agree on the interior. Lots of plastic and looks kinda dated.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 09-08-2014

Looks like the base version will start at around $43.5K too, which is super meh considering that 2.0T is decent but not a ton of fun to drive. I'm guessing the "S" will be $15-20k more, and at that point I would rather have a gently used 2012/2013 XFR. Still pretty awesome though and in typical Jag fashion you will probably see the value of these plummet when leases are turned in and can scoop one up for a good deal.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 09-08-2014

ha! I wouldn't even consider it at a base of that for a 2.0t.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Jake - 09-08-2014

Two annoyances about that interior... HUGE numbers on the tach (are we Buick, now?) and up/down push-buttons for climate temperature.

Sexy car though.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 09-08-2014

$43.5 is kind of high but I think Jaguar is one of those companies that options the car out well from the start, so it's not like BMW where the starting price for the 328 is $37k but once u equip it decently you're looking at $45k or more. That said, Jag is going to have to offer some decent lease deals if they wanna really move metal. That's how Mercedes and BMW sell 70% of their cars.

sweet interior, bra

Also 75 imperial gallons. I think that's about 62 'merican. I'll believe it when I see it for a car that shape.

Mercedes AMG GT unveiled today:

Gotta say the styling looks too soft too me. Kinda like a bigger SLK. Not the worst thing in the world but just not aggressive enough for my tastes. Should be a credible competitor to the F-Type and 911 if the price is right though.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 09-10-2014

It looks like the 991 and F Type had a baby!

In other news, you can lease a Hellcat Challenger because 'Murica

Re: Automotive News Discussion - CaptainHenreh - 09-11-2014

C&D is fuckin' full of it. Last time GM made a mid engine car it was an outrageous success, remember?

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Senor_Taylor - 09-11-2014

It's about time this made a comeback!

When I was at the autox in roanoke, about 3 of them showed up. All of them prepped to some extent, and sounded cool as shit

Quote:Toyota has replaced about a third of the Camry’s 6,000 parts and restyled the exterior and interior to make it more eye-catching and less bland.

Quote:The most noticeable styling change is Camry’s new fascia, which is bold, open and forceful, like a mouth about to devour whatever is in front of it.

Yea.....I don't think we are looking at the same car.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Goodspeed - 09-23-2014

God I hate everything about Toyota/Lexus styling these days. This really is a nadir decade of car design - so many safety mandates, stylists don't know wtf to do. But as long as the front 10th of the car is forceful...I guess.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - BLINGMW - 09-23-2014

looks pretty good I guess, for a Camry. You can't expect them to make it "agressive".... it's pretty laughable though that any article would claim that it is!

Re: Automotive News Discussion - ScottyB - 09-24-2014

i don't like having it forced upon my eyes, thats for damn sure.

reminds me of a chubby kid smiling with braces. oh well, we deserve it...people keep lining up to buy them.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 09-24-2014

I'm going to bring this thread back to where it needs to be. Enough of this camry nonsense.

The 2015 C63 is here and sharing the new 4L twin-turbo V8 from the AMG-GT. Oh and there will be a wagon version as well. And it will be RWD to start as the 4matic will not be available on launch cars.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - D_Eclipse9916 - 09-24-2014

I do not like their new design language. The "old" C63 was masculine yet classy.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Jake - 09-24-2014

I'll take the blue wagon with dark red seats. Please and thank you.
