That's probably the largest reason I cannot give bitcoin much credit as a "real" currency, it's just too easy to set up another one. The legitimacy comes from people using it, limited supply, difficulty in counterfitting, but if bitcoin value is pretty much driven by speculation, not use, then dogecoin or whatever is just as legit. :dunno:

I'm curious to see what the Bernanke replacement and 2yr budget deal in the senate news will do to the market. At best I can only believe it would be neutral. We're already in bubble mode again anyway.

Got it working right now. Had to find some custom settings for my video card to work properly with the miner. So far I've got ~1000 Doge. I'm rich.

Got a Doge wallet/miner. It is still pulling the data, but in the meantime I tried connecting to two pools and had no luck. Wait for it to finish pulling or I am just not finding good pools?

Switched to cgminer from a GUI-based miner and was able to connect to doge.pool.webxass.de. Never done this before... Interested to see how it works.
