To anyone bored at work, I offer one of the greatest games ever made, and a damn fine version of it as well....

Tetris

I just ended a half-hour epic battle that resulted in 1,386,043 points. My mind is buzzing, my fingers could crush rock and bone. Challenge me, or bask in my superiority.

Were you even born when Tetris came out?

- HAULN-SS - 04-29-2008

Blah - that tetris sucks. You're supposed to be able to slide and rotate on the already planted blocks. These stick as soon as they touch.

A better game is tetrinet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TetriNET

Do I care?

Enough to reply, evidently.

Nothing beats the 8 bit NES version.

I didn't have any problem with that.... they seem to slide just fine

The NES version is good because of the music, but the "drop" button is really nicer as a "speedup" button like this N-Blox thing does.

*edit* Goodspeed you're sick. I got like 40,000. :?

Haha this is funny too if you haven't seen it already. Some retard in Texas tried to cash a $360 billion check and got arrested.

"FORT WORTH, Texas - Charles Ray Fuller must have been planning one big record company. The 21-year-old North Texas man was arrested last week for trying to cash a $360 billion check, saying he wanted to start a record business. Tellers at the Fort Worth bank were immediately suspicious ÔÇö perhaps the 10 zeros on a personal check tipped them off.

Fuller, of suburban Crowley, was arrested on a forgery charge. He was released after posting $3,750 bail.

Fuller said his girlfriend's mother gave him the check to start a record business. But bank employees who contacted the account's owner said the woman told them she did not give him permission to take or cash the check.

In addition to the forgery count, Fuller was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and possessing marijuana. Officers reported finding less than two ounces of marijuana and a .25-caliber handgun and magazine in his pockets."

it looks like he originally thought 340 billion would be enough, but at the last minute realized he might need that extra 20.
