Stick with the 205, you dont need 225 for your weight. Get an R7 or A7, whatever your points allows.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 11-12-2015

Kaan you have said you've wanted to do HC just stick with that. Don't waste time/money on trying to be competitive in TTE if you don't want to do that. I'd just throw 205 RE-71R's on for next season and slowly add parts for an HC build. Then just stay in DE3/DE4 until you are ready for HC safety and build wise. Waiting in DE3/DE4 you'll really hone down the nut behind the wheel before HC which will immediately help you be competitive when you jump into it.

Disagree. A stopwatch and fellow competitors push you to make better times than any HPDE ever will.

Agree and I also say I definitely pushed my car more when I was behind the red integra and got my fastest times then. You can also find cars in a DE that you can be competitive with and push yourself

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 11-12-2015

lol last weekend i pitted in because there was too much open track and i wanted a rabbit to chase.

the roll cage budget is probably going to keep me in TT for a while. so i'll figure it out once i get there. I'm going to repair the synchros and whatever else is busted in the trans and do a LSD/FD (which was accounted for in points) later. a 5.0 FD should be good enough for the LS trans, but i might be capped at a 4.9 lol

This will get you +2 back for sway bars and +3 for subframe brace. 5 points is a lot to spend in TTE, use it for power or compound of tire. (I did this in TTC)

Go back to stock brakes. You dont need bigger brakes in TT since you are running for ONE fast lap. Get a good compound brake pad and worry less about how big it is. In TTE I cant imagine you even need brakes at all.

Do you need the alignment arms? Can you get "enough" without them? With BMWs you can get enough camber without any points, but that may not be the choice now.

Yep, you can skip all of that crap. All things being free I would have the swaybars but if it opens up points for things like better gearing and a diff then I would make that trade in a second on that car. You can get enough camber with lowering on the factory arms (get taller top hats) and you can shim the rears without replacing arms to reduce camber - you will want to do that one way or the other. You would have to do testing on the tire size, the fronts really get abused.

Your big gains in laptime will be in gearing, diff, making the front suspension work and using the rear suspension to keep the gas tank off the ground. Work on loosening the car up a little bit each event once you have a diff... I wouldnt make any big suspension changes until you have that though.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 11-17-2015

a FD change is free (a 5.0 or 4.9... from the 4.2), the LSD is accounted for in the points. if i use 205 Toyo RRs to get me close to the same tire/handling it would need for HC ... i can keep everything i have AND add my adjustable camber. Smile

People like you drive me insane. I have a weird problem with having to make sure a car is optimized for a ruleset, not just "good enough".

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 11-17-2015

well part of the issue for me is tire size and the current tire points. the only tires that comes in my size (205 50 15) is the A7 and R7. its a 22 point and 10 point tire and i can take the points to get the R7 without the camber arms and have 2 points left over.

Hoohoo A7 +22 (comes in my size)
Hoohoo A6 +17 (doesnt come in my size)
Hoohoo R7 +10 (comes in my size and can get them with just dropping the camber arms)
Hoohoo R6 +8 (doesnt come in my size)

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 11-17-2015

It blows my mind that the FD is free points.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 11-17-2015

Altered gear ratios is definitely 1 or 2 points

Final drive is not.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 11-17-2015

gear ratios is +3 .... going to another trans, ITR or GSR

Final Drive is free... fix/mod current trans

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 11-17-2015

Mmm. Wow. That's insane. I might as well go for a 4.6 or 4.8 FD. Probably have to be custom or some weord shit though for my car.

Edit: Lol I don't think there are parts for my car to change just the FD? Idk of anyone doing this on our cars except for speed3's which is a different transmission so probably have to go custom gears. Idk about that

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 11-17-2015

It all depends on the car. The Integra LS gearing is total shit.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 11-17-2015

if i put the stock intake back on the car i can have the 10 point hoohoos and add gear change... hmmm

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 11-17-2015

TTF* 2625lbs

+7 (honda penalty lol)
+10 A3 (Hoosier R7)
-1 (205 tire vs 215 base size)
+5 C22 (header/cat/exhaust)
+3 D3 (gear change: ITR trans!?!?)
+3 D5 (LSD)
+3 E3 (Koni)
+2 E5 (ground controls)
+2 E7 (sway bars)
+2 F1 (ITR Brakes)
+3 F4 (subframe brace)

totals to 39 points... i think it would be the only TTE car in the MA on R comps. its a little fat at 2625lbs, but i think i can get over it... maybe. I know, DJ would want me to give back the sway bars, subframe brace, and brakes... i could get the weight down to 2530 for those 7 points.

Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 11-17-2015

I would give up the swaybars and brakes if you can run it lighter. 2625 is way too heavy.

Kaan Wrote:i think it would be the only TTE car in the MA on R comps.

Don't worry I'll be right behind you. I'll be on the same points level tire but 225 or 235 in TTE

Since my econo shitbox friend is bench racing I will join in soon with my close to final draft TTE plans :bootyshake:
