Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - G.Irish - 11-04-2010

Yeah I'm waiting to see the reviews on Black Ops before I buy it. MW2 was cool but had too many bugs and balance issues for my tastes so I'm a bit hesitant to buy another CoD game.

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - JustinG - 11-04-2010

Stopped by Best Buy on my way to grab some wings from Bdubs, wanted to check out KINECT. I gotta be honest, it looked pretty cool. They had a bowling game setup and it was really smooth, even this like 4 year old wasnt having a problem with the gestures etc to control the player. It was basically like the Wii but with XBOX graphics, Wii graphics are garbage IMO, and no controller. I kinda want it, but I wanna wait to see what kinda games come out for this thing, but you can get a 250gb bundle with console etc and the Kinect thing for $400, not a bad deal IMO, basically $50 off in the bundle. Just the Kinect sensor itself is $150.

Too expensive and my Wii proves I don't give a shit about gimmicks.

Black Ops is preordered and has been for months.

In for Black Ops... but I suck at multiplayer and wouldn't mind some co-op shit.

Apoc24

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - JustinG - 11-09-2010

Pulled the trigger on Black Ops, traded in 4 games to put towards it, now I only have Reach and Black Ops as a selection. Will be picking it up after work, anyone wanna party?

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-09-2010

I'll be on later tonight I'm sure...going to pick it up this morning Smile

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-09-2010

Going to pick it up this afternoon and also a subscription to XBOX Live. Mine ran out last july Sad

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-09-2010

I'm a couple levels deep into the campaign now. I LOVE the gameplay. This game definitely did not disappoint me in terms of the story line and the action sequences. The jail break sequence...although a little outlandish...was so intense and fun. Excited to get through the campaign tonight for the achievements and then start on multiplayer tonight.

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - CaptainHenreh - 11-10-2010

So, I don't know what to do here.

let's say I've got 60 bucks, and about an hour and a half a day to play video games.

Do I buy:

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Electric Boogaloo

OR

Fallout New Vegas: Fallout Harder.

I really really loved Fallout3. Loved it. Best game ever. Many many hours of enjoyment. Even if New Vegas is "More of the Same" I am totally OK with that. A 40 Hour expansion pack? Okeydoke. Now, there's no rush for NV, it'll only get better with time, but...

I loved MW2 also. It was fun. I lived on the thrill of a well executed kill there for a while, but eventually being owned by a 9 prestige 13 Year Old God Among Boys got old. When the "casual" players stopped playing, in the end I felt the balance was too off to really enjoy casually, and then all the bugs and glitches got old fast. I don't really want to repeat that experience with BlackOps, but I'm hearing all this "ZOMG BEST EVAR" stuff, and I don't want to miss the train either.

Thirdly, I still haven't played through lair of the shadow broker DLC for ME:2, and I have my semester project coming due so it's not like I have a whole shitload of time to play anyway.

Thoughts?

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-10-2010

Sounds like you should do Fallout3.

I loved blackops, just picked it up last night. The multiplayer is what I love, im not big into single player. I unlocked and used the "attack dogs" thing after 11 killstreak last night and that was ridiculous hilarious lol. I would be pissed off dealing with that if somebody kept using it on me. Went 24 and 0 in a team deathmatch. The dogs just run around the map killing the enemy, kill cam was awesome to with it as we saw the dog jump in the air and pwn the dude.

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-10-2010

Owning both of them right now (Black Ops and Fallout:NV) I'd say go with Fallout. And I really like Black Ops so far, but honestly the multiplayer is not that big of a change from the last one....as far as gameplay. If you got bored with that, you'll get bored with this. Sure there are some new twists and the classes and perks seem more balanced but it's basically the same. Even though New Vegas is a similar game to the first Fallout...like you said it is AWESOME. I mean the scope and enormity of what you can do in that game is unbelievable. Fallout is the kind of game that you could literally play over and over for months on end and never play it the same way twice.

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - Apoc - 11-10-2010

Rex, I'm pretty much like you. I hated the multiplayer for the other CODs because I always got owned... like to the point on having zero desire to play it.

I don't know if it was because I was playing with people I knew, who actually talked, or because no one knows the maps but I thought it was great. I think the gap will eventually widen between me and the hardcore players, but I'll probably be sick of it by then anyway. At that point I'll finish up the campaign and hopefully find someone to do the co-op kill spree stuff. I already think it was worth the money, but I only buy like one game a year. I'm guessing all modes combined, I'll get about 40 hours out of it.

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-10-2010

Yea Chris that was fun playing with you last night! My good friend Scooter who lives up the street from me (he used to live in Leesburg near the outlet mall before they moved down here) is a stay at home dad so he plays a lot. Obviously, I mean he's pretty good at the game haha.. Let's do that again soon

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - Apoc - 11-10-2010

I checked the leaderboard last night, his kill:death was already something like 5800:5200. Confusedhock:

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - CaptainHenreh - 11-10-2010

I really really really liked Fallout3, so I'll probably skip COD, until this expansion comes out:

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - Mike - 11-10-2010

i'm playing it, but not entirely sold the game was a step forward for the series. feels flaky.

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-10-2010

FUCK! Stupid bug! I was like 90% of the way through one of the last levels and an error came up on my screen about one of the Spetnaz soldiers having 160 bones? And even though I had hit checkpoints it made me restart the entire level. That's about 35 minutes wasted...

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - Mike - 11-10-2010

160 bones? wha?

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-10-2010

I know what does that even mean? It looked like a developer note or something..

Re: XBOX 360 - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-11-2010

Anyone played the hidden Zombies arcade game yet in COD:BO? A buddy of mine told me about it.

To play it, begin on the starting screen where you are sitting in the chair with the screens around you and you can select Campaign, Multiplayer, etc. Instead of selecting one of those though, look down towards your feet. Press LT, RT repeatedly until you break free of the wrist straps. Walk all the way to the back of the room until it prompts you to "Hold X to Use Computer". Hold X, then type "DOA" and press enter. It takes you to the hidden zombie game...have fun!
