I went in to talk myself out of the green Runwell Chrono in 41mm with a nylon band, but it disappeared while I was shopping for it. I think maybe they saved me from myself.

I want to buy this so bad. I always hated green cars but like that one for some reason.

Hasport has mount kits to fit a K20 in there. Kaan, how much does a K20 sell for, not right before racewars? Some koni/gc suspension, freshen up some bushings, big brake kit....

Don't think I need to know jray to know that this story has been on repeat for the last 7 years I've been on this forum. I doubt car thefts are very high in the nice neighborhoods of NOVA. I know they aren't here in Howard County.

Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - BLINGMW - 12-18-2016

People aren't stealing 20+ yr old pos hondas are they?

Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Apoc - 12-18-2016

JRay has 3 hondas stolen... one of them twice. While a bunch of other people in MM had multiple hondas go untouched in the area.

Maybe a young padawan. Evan should take him as his apprentice.

OOOH, or does anyone still have contact info for Chad?

My guilty pleasure just now was taking advantage of all the good tech articles and part info on Pelicanparts for some headlights for the Volvo, and then ordering the same pair, same manufacturer, from RockAuto for $100 less per corner.  Blush

This is true.

I don't care that this is 2 years old. I like to list out my incidents. This gives me another opportunity (http://forum.mmsports.org/showthread.php?tid=7888):

So lets recap my years with thefts and break-ins with my Honda and Acura the past few years:

#1 - 1999 Honda Civic (Neighborhood - Alexandria, VA): Hood popped open and battery disconnected, nothing stolen
#2 - 1999 Honda Civic (Springfield Metro Garage): Radio, Amp, Subs, CDs, tools, misc stolen
#3 - 1999 Honda Civic (Springfield Mall Garage): Stolen and recovered, spending weeks in the shop to get every damaged piece replaced and repaired

*purchased Integra*

#4 - 1998 Acura Integra (Neighborhood - Alexandria, VA): Attempted theft, spent 3 weeks at the shop (incident happened 2 weeks after i bought the Integra)
#5 - 1999 Honda Civic (Neighborhood - Alexandria, VA): Wheels stolen, left on bricks and jack stands, no damage and i had an extra set of wheels

*sold Honda Civic* - the remaining incidents were with the Integra

#6 - (Hotel - Wilmington, DE): Radio Stolen, no other damage (t'was a quiet ride home since i drove here for work)
#7 - (Arlington, VA): Quarters stolen, no damage and nothing else stolen, but whoever did it pissed in the seat (yes...) and this seat was promptly sold to RJ [probably frustrated because i locked the steering wheel in the trunk, locked the back seat pull tabs in the glove box, and thus couldn't drive away]
#8 - (Falls Church, VA): Phone and Gift Certificate stolen, no damage. i recovered the phone from a 'donation' to a gas station
#9 - (Bethesda, MD): Radio, GPS, CDs, phone charger, and change stolen
#10 - (Bethesda, MD): Car stolen with a few christmas gifts in the trunk

*since that post*

#11 - (Falls Church, VA): CBR 600RR lifted from parking space in my Townhouse complex
#12 - (Vancover, CA): Rental car (Chevy Aveo POS trim) was broken into. Luggage stolen from the trunk that contained both DSLRs, computer, and a few other electronics

^ Good fucking lord.

RE: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - ScottyB - 06-15-2018

looking back at the stuff parked at your place in Alexandria...i gotta believe the shops that fixed your cars gave inside info to some gentlemen with particular sets of skills in exchange for some cash.

if memory serves, after you sold your civic to the next owner didn't it get stolen and stripped down to a shell shortly after? that poor car.

That's either the deal of a life time or straight up dirt. Either way I'm not mad for the price.

55% off.

Most of the shops have loyalty programs and will text you sales. This one came through yesterday am and, coincidentally, I needed a store tuned before a long weekend out of town. This was total impulse because of price.
