essentially... We itemized because of the house and they want proof. I have all the proof and its WAY above board but the complication is Sylvia and I werent married the year they are "auditing." The accountant says it wont be a big deal, a bunch of photocopies and a letter should fix it all. but i'm not counting my chickens...

they're claiming i received a large chunk of change in 2013 and want to penalize me on it because that's when it was reported in a 1099 by the people giving me the chunk. i didn't receive the money or even notification that i was receiving it until june 2014 so no way i could or should have filed it for 2013. this is fidelity fucking me by disbursing an old account because they made 0 effort to let me know the account was closing, which they're required to do by law (they had an old mailing address, but current email and phone)... I'm not bothering to fight the disbursement battle because it'll take time and money likely greater than the amount lost by early cashing out of a somewhat small amount, but i will not be fucked again. lesson learned: always move your old 401ks.

Wiped out the interior, installed MFactory short shifter (because FREE), installed the interior, and changed the oil.

Nah... He helped a lot with this car over the last year. It was more of an excuse to hang out a little and get him a little seat time (bedding brakes) so he gets a little more feel for the car before his first session on track.

^ This. I've been long overdue for a visit to the Canturk household. I was just happy to hang and spin wrenches on somebody else's pile and get some work done. It's pretty much MMer therapy.
The least I can do for the opportunity to co-drive on track. I was pleased the garage floor was not subzero temperatures this time.. Suspension in the middle of the winter is.. well.. It's pretty damn cold on that concrete. :lol:

i have a floor drain so i dont think i can have a lift. maybe if i get a new 3 car garage built... and i need to win the lotto lol

I lift that is under the tires is pretty much useless for suspension work.

Indeed but once you got it up on those stands just throw a jack stand on the suspension side you are working. Not exactly sure how those work just throwing an example out.

That 'lift' the Corvette is on looks sketchy as fuck, but would be awesome to use for DIY alignments if it has something to roll the car back a bit on.
If you don't want to deal with drilling into concrete, and somewhat portable if you have a truck to take to the track then look into the quickjack bl-3500. Saw some coupons online selling them for $850 shipped.
