Evan Wrote:Personally Im fine with 2700 lbs and 200hp.

i think that's about what the gti has... feels pretty quick to me Confusedhrug:

edit:
gti - 3000lbs, 200hp, 207tq (1800rpm)
this - 2700lbs, 200hp, 151tq (6600rpm)

so... different, but i'd imagine similar in overall "speed."

Eh at least its quick enough in the corners so that you have all that swiftness to swing out of the way when a camry comes flying by

Im a hater, we all know that. Different strokes for different folks.

An engaging drivers car makes a shit ton more sense on the street with speed limits than a 500hp landbarge to pick up groceries and drive to grandmas house.

bears repeating...

evan, your post would have been a lot more funny if you had said "drive to there grandma's house."

BRZ base MSRP:

$25,495

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - Mike - 04-05-2012

someone save me from going back to look... what were they targeting? seems high to me.

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - Evan - 04-05-2012

includes nav and HIDz

not bad

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - G.Irish - 04-05-2012

If it were me I would've dropped the nav so that they could offer it for under $25k. The HIDs are welcome though.

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - BLINGMW - 04-05-2012

the BASE MODEL INCLUDES NAVIGATION?!
:dunno:
that is.... something is wrong. I hope that's not correct.

How long until the first LSx swap? I'm guessing not long haha.

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - Beej - 04-06-2012

Anybody actually know of someone considering getting one of these?

I'm in the same "man it sounds great, hope it does well, but it won't be me" boat. :?

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - Mike - 04-06-2012

I think one of the problems with a lot of enthusiasts is that so many of us only buy used cars. That said, several guys on the Roadraceautox forum say they're probably gonna pick one up. If I could swing a support vehicle and a street car I'd definitely look to buy one but I need something to tow the bike to the track so this just won't fit for me right now.

Ive thought pretty hard about selling my lotus and buying one.
id drive it much more than i do my exige.

its the depreciation of a new car vs a car that is already mostly depreciated that ultimately makes me hesitate

Re: The market is BEGGING.... - G.Irish - 04-07-2012

Just stopped by Stohlman Subaru today. They had a manufacturer demo BRZ on display (but no test drives). Sales guy said that they were allotted 17 for the year, and all of them have been pre-sold, and they have several more buyers on the wait list.
