So one of the ballasts on the HIDs seems to have taken a dump. Verified bulbs were both working in a parking lot last night... Need to swap em around and check all the wiring I suppose. Lifetime warranty, luckily.

Odd, this happens just hours after I got it inspected Tongue

- Mike - 07-15-2008

Yep, definitely a shoddy ballast.

ttiwwop

In the case of transmissions, the 2nd time is the charm. In just over an hour, I nearly have it dropped from the civic. Wooohaaaa!

Oh, and for those worried about Jayray getting to see pics of the HIDs, he got to see them this weekend.

I'm patiently awaiting his review of your HIDs.

woot! it's out. now where's my crew to help me hoist them back in and get a few bolts set?

monday work for anyone?

- Mike - 08-12-2008

big thanks to rjizzle... couldn't have gotten those fuckers in without his help. will hopefully finish up the civic tonight and get some street racing in before dark.

make sure it's in a school zone!

No, no, no. You need to talk to MIHS. Street racing is done after dark, with no headlights, by the glow of residential street lamps. Do it right, or don't bother. You shame us.

And be sure to take pictures of any traffic signs that fall victim to your wrath.

- Mike - 08-12-2008

hatch is done. no traffic signs, but i was on it like a true honda fanboi.

motherfucker has some zoom in every gear, and i couldn't make a tire spin... would be absolutely beast at an autox now.

while i was under there, i dropped the car a centimeter or two, but after a short drive it looks like a monster truck. surely i couldn't have accidentally raised it... ON BOTH SIDES. so wtf? maybe it really was uber monster truck style before? it's got a good 4-finger gap [like maeng's mom].

given the opportunity, I will not hesitate to fucking kill you. Tongue

I assume that opportunity will only come once a year when track santa graces us with his presence.

- Mike - 08-13-2008

better luck next year.

- xvxax - 08-13-2008

Come to WDCR SCCA next weekend or Autocrossers Inc the weekend after.

- Mike - 08-13-2008

no chance Tongue

- Mike - 08-13-2008

so i'm still baffled by the 4x4 front wheel gap. raising the car would have entailed using the tool that i couldn't find... so there's no way i did that... wtf? maybe a type r trans is built with titanium?

autox is like once every 5 years now.

- Mike - 08-13-2008

hey, you know what might make the car 2 inches higher than it should be? if the shock is clamped in to the fork 2 inches lower than it should be! muahahah. fixed without even taking the wheels off Smile
