They remember ketchup more times than not.... so, what's your point? It's clearly not the only industry where making mistakes is okay. People fuck up everywhere. Calling someone an idiot for forgetting ketchup is pretty lame when that NASA mistake cost everyone in America ~5 ketchup packets each.

I eat lunch out 5 times a week. At least 2-3 times there is *something* wrong with my order. I am just one guy! I'd love to know the real numbers, but the point is that there is definitely a lack of ability or caring in those kind of work places. It's even worse when you factor in, at least in this area, the amount of times you just give up trying to order what you want because the person on the other side can't understand what you're trying to tell them. I can't tell you how many times i've tried to order two cheeseburgers, and finally just said "fuck it, give me the double cheeseburger" even though thats not what I really wanted.

Not really..i almost never order anything with special toppings or anything that's not on the menu...which is kind of my point...you gotta at least be able to get the stuff that is on the menu right, right?

See, I have, but I always ask for stuff special because I don't like pickles or mustard. If I just order "off the menu" I don't get screwups.

Both of you were discredited I think when you said you've never had something wrong with an order. This either means you've never been to McDonalds, or were bullshitting the entire thing.
Things that count as something wrong:
Cold Fries
Old Fries
Wrong Item
Wrong Drink
Wrong Toppings
Excess toppings (Think about the times you got a Mayovolcano on your sandwich)
Had to order something else because your initial order was too difficult to understand
Something gross
No ice in drink
Forgot Item completely
No Straw with drink in drive through
No Napkins in drive through
Forgotten to give you sauce(ketchup, bbq, etc)

Is this really even worth debating? I get a wrong order every now and then, big whoop. 4 of the things on your list could easily be fixed if you'd take 2 seconds and look in the bag they give you before you drive off. If you don't see ketchup, ask for it, same goes for straw, drink, etc. As for the toppings I rarely make special orders but if they forget to put mustard on it, oh well, big deal. I don't really expect too much when I'm paying $.99 for food.
