i've never met a "too smart" employee at starbucks. i'm sure it's regional, but around here they're barely a step up from mcdonalds.

Don't knock McManagers man, a lot of those guys work their way up to 6 figures within a reasonable time frame. And think about it, if you're reasonably smart the competition for promotion you're up against is not going to be real steep.

yea my buddy managed a small italian joint in keysville, then went in to the McDonalds Mgmt program and went to Hamburger U and all. Now he is a Manager in Farmville and the pay ain't bad for Farmville, but he works some crazy hours. Not to mention when they open up 2 more stores hell be over all 3 which means a significant pay increase. But im sure he is a rarity, and 90% of Mcdonalds employees are retards.
