and sony is more evil than ms.
and the quality of xbox live is far superior to psn.
and far more people play xbox than ps3.
the ps3 is a better system tech-wise, but i play for the experience, not how badass my system is.

i'm just bringing this up since i'm planning on buying a ps3, i'm using my roommates for now.
1. meh - no racing games as of yet, but i do wish the Forza games were available for ps3 :dunno:
2. you're saying Microsoft is less evil?...c'mon...really? :evileye:
3. quality? what about the red ring of death i've heard so much about? sony's never really had any system issues quite like that from what i can remember :bootyshake:

5. that's fine, i'll take the blu-ray, bluetooth, and the wi-fi for $300. i'm not one to compare networks since i've never used xbox live and i've only used PSN for MW2, but i can't see the free PSN being that much better than the $50/yr xbox live :bootyshake:
i also hate the xbox remote, i don't know why other people like it so much more - i know that's a personal preference. a keyboard/mouse is so much better for the FPS games anyway.

It's not that the Playstation is some horrible machine fit only for a doorstop. It's fine, I've played it. But XBox has:
More and better games (Remember when Gran Turismo 5 was supposed to be a LAUNCH title?),
A far better online model. I know it "costs money" but 5 bucks a month might as well be nothing. You get what you pay for with PSN.
Most of my associates are on XBL
Microsoft has never fucked me. Sony has tried. (Has everyone forgotten this?) Honestly, I don't get the Microsoft hate. I work with Microsoft products day in and day out and I rarely have problems. I dont' see the "evil". Ruthless? Bet your ass. Evil...ehhhh.
Finally, wireless, bluetooth, and blu-ray. I don't give a shit about any of them. Bluetooth? Useful for my phone, why do I need it for my game console? My XBOX is capable of wifi thankyouverymuch and Blu-ray? Yeah, again, I play games on my XBox. That's what I bought it for. It plays DVD's and that's a nice aside, but I bought it for games.
I've mostly been a fanboy in this thread because it's entertaining, but I really do prefer XBox to PS3. I mean sure the PSN has "enough people to play MW2", probably around 2 million players. XBL had 2 million players online at once. I've had this conversation with Jeff a dozen times, he says I don't care about blu-ray because "My TV Sucks" but I can't see Blu-Ray making Young Frankenstein any funnier, or Laurence of Arabia any more epic. So take away Blu-Ray (for me) and compare the PS3 to the 360 on their gaming merits, and I think the XBox comes out on top.

all good points. it seems as if the primary reason to get an xbox 360 is XBOX Live and that others have one and the people you want to play with are also online.
i also forgot to mention the built-in wifi adapter of PS3, not one that is attached like xbox - small point. the bluetooth is just nice since you can use your bluetooth cell phone ear-piece (if you have one) to use as a headset with games.
i guess i need to play both and see which one i like better.
anyway - regarding MW2, i'm getting better with the mele since i've acquired Ninja Pro. i tend to be more of a mele-er combined with my red-dot-sight Scar-H. depending on the map, i'm usually mele-ing or sniping. i also have a lot of fun with the grenader and sticking my semtex to people (that is the most fun to watch). getting to the top of the crane in HighRise is fun when you're coldblooded, have a silencer, and you carry a launcher of some sort for enemy airborn attacks. does anyone else wish that killcam was not enabled for TDM or Free-For-Alls?

I think hardware-wise the PS3 is a bargain. Bluetooth, wi-fi, Blu-ray, and PSN all included when you drop your $300. Want to put in a bigger hard drive? Go ahead, buy any one you want that fits. MS on the other hand forces you to buy their hard drives. Then there's the RROD issue.
Problem with the PS3 was that Blu-Ray forced the price into "too high for a toy" territory and people ended up buying Wiis and 360's instead. The second problem they had was that Xbox had a much bigger install base, so developers were not inclined to make exclusives for PS3. The big hitter exclusives PS3 did have took too long to come out (Metal Gear and GT5 which still isn't out). The difficulty and expense in programming for the PS3 didn't help either.
So the PS3 is a great machine, but a game console is for games and PS3 just didn't have the games I wanted. I might be persuaded to buy one for GT5 but that's really the only exclusive PS3 game that I'd want. Even Metal Gear is going multi-platform so even less reason to buy a PS3 for me. I couldn't care less about Blu-Ray, even though I have a 50" HDTV.

I only use that on the city maps and Scrapyard though.
Disabling the Killcam would just encourage camping. But then again I don't look at it that often anyway because usually I have an idea of who shot me.
