That...is the best thing ever....I can now die a happy man, even if the car never gets done!

- Jeff - 11-07-2007

Ok, so the Cam gear and flywheel are here. I also got a silicone turbo drain tube and a poly transmission mount. The trans mount is like 3 weeks in coming now. Fucking TU again...I'm glad I'm done with these assholes.

Anyway...so more baller shit

Digital Dash upgrade!!! My odometer quit...and all of the gauge clusters I have are also broken (I have 3, no working odometers).

Video for those who have never seen...itÔÇÖs really 80'stastic badass shit. Fast-forward to 1:43 I don't have any of the other baller digital shit, or the talking box. The beginning is cool though, the talking car is sweet!

- .RJ - 11-07-2007

Does it say "danger to manifold" ?

- Jeff - 11-07-2007

No...but do you see the little digital date/time readout at the very end of the video? Its above the talk box readout. I have that. Its called the 12 button traveler. They never work, the buttons go bad. I installed all new buttons in mine...but I have never had it all together to see if it works...fingers crossed.

EDIT- you can see it pretty well at :53ish

haha....Jeff i depend on your project for quality entertainment

i can't fathom how much fun you could have with that if you could program the voice to say different stuff. you could even insult your passengers!

- Jeff - 11-08-2007

Digi dash arrived today. You can see a scratch on it in that picture I posted, I was able to fix it with this plastic scratch remover I have. If anyone has a scratch on acrylic they need fixed drop me a line, this stuff was expensive but works great. I got it for a mark I put on my LCD TV.

When I sold my Omni, part of the deal was a SHELBY logo valve cover. These are getting rare as they were only available on real Shelby (the numbered cars) in the late 80's. Maybe 2,000 of these were made compared to the huge numbers of normal "Chrysler Turbo" covers that exist. This is even rarer seeing as it is not cracked, as most of those for sale are. $200 would be the going rate if I decided to sell it. $175 would be a minimum number. So the options are as follows...

Sell it and use the orange C/T one I have
Use it on the Daytona in wrinkle black to match my intake manifold
Use it on the Daytona and paint it in same scheme as the C/T cover.

My current C/T cover

Fuck you guys then.

- JustinG - 11-23-2007

keep the painted cover, i like the big ass word TURBO, who cares if its a shelby, people will think your weird and wanna be like a mustang due to their ignorance.

- Feersty - 11-24-2007

Don't put more stops in front of you that lengthens the time it will be before its back on the road.

- WRXtranceformed - 11-24-2007

Dude sell it and bank the money. The orange one looks way better. Put "boost gets you laid" stickers on the orange like Justin and you're set.

...So Sylvia preping and painting a valve cover over a saturday is a huge break in the project?

I agree, the Shelby has more value to others the me. Plus, as much as I will be taking it on and off I don't need to risk cracking a Shelby cover.

THE RIGHT DECISION.
