Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 07-22-2014 Any word yet on a potential price for that thing? Is it going to be dumb like the LF-A and price itself out of its key competition with Italian / German / British rivals? Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 07-22-2014 Oh no, definitely not going to be LFA price range. From what I've heard it'll be around R8 and 911 Turbo territory. Whether that means R8 V10+ and Turbo S ($175k+) or more around $140k is anyone's guess but I think it'll be more around $130/140k. Re: Automotive News Discussion - Evan - 07-22-2014 Im a little dissapointed that they are trying to compete with the hybrid "hypercar" electric 4wd and auto trans trend made for rich guys to brag about at the golf course, instead of making another pure drivers car (and be able to price it lower to boot). Senna would be sad. After all this time, I still dont understand why nobody brings the fight to corvette. They own the $50k sports car market, and 60 and 70k and 80k market for that matter. Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 07-22-2014 I think it's because the powers that be at Honda have such a hard on for hybrids that it would've been tough to convince them to make a car without hybrid drive. It's possible they'll make a hardcore racing version without batteries though. Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 07-23-2014 Quote:Honda promised Autocar the NSX would bring us "the excitement of a [Ferrari] 458 at the price of the [Porsche] 911," when (if) it finally arrives.

Take a look at those strands of fiber around the engine. Might mean it'll come out with a decent weight (3200-3400 maybe). Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 07-25-2014 The Hellcat Charger is coming...... hock:  http://jalopnik.com/here-is-proof-that- ... 1610846639
Re: Automotive News Discussion - Sully - 07-25-2014 So 2016 Hellcat Dart? Do they even still make the dart? Re: Automotive News Discussion - *insertusernamehere* - 07-25-2014 Why am I not excited by these? These are faster and I guess cooler, based on everyone's enthusiasm, but I'm way more excited about the new Mustang Re: Automotive News Discussion - Jake - 07-25-2014 Power-to-weight of the Hellcat vs. the Mustang GT500 has the Mustang winning the PTW war. The 707HP Hellcat has a power to weight ratio of 6.22 lbs/HP. The 2013 Shelby GT500's 662 HP only have to move around 5.58 lbs each. Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 07-25-2014 No care because 10 second car w/ warranty. That difference is negligible at best. Re: Automotive News Discussion - Evan - 07-25-2014 The new Mustang looks like a Taurus coupe. I wouldn't buy either, but if I got to pick one for free, its the challenger by a mile Re: Automotive News Discussion - Sully - 07-25-2014 The new Taurus looks pretty bad ass though so.... What type of money are we talking though because I feel like I would take a corvette over the challenger if they are similar in cost. I feel like it's fast in a straight line but did they do anything with the handling? Re: Automotive News Discussion - fiveoh2go - 07-25-2014 Lulz at Dodge juuust now figuring out that they needed a supercharged V8 in the Challenger to actually be relevant enough to mention when discussing the current crop of pony car offerings from Detroit. Welcome to 2002. Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 07-25-2014 Pretty cool if you want a rental car with 700hp Re: Automotive News Discussion - JustinG - 07-27-2014 I'm amazed at the fact the challenger body style is 8yrs old.....lazy mofos Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 07-27-2014 So the TV just told me that Henry Ford hated Jewish people, heavily funded Hitler / the growth of the Nazi party and FMC received basically all of the vehicle and machinery contracts during the growth of the German army before WWII? How did I not read about that in history class?? GM rightfully is catching a lot of heat lately but wow, does this mean if you drive a Ford you're an anti-Semite?? Re: Automotive News Discussion - CaptainHenreh - 07-27-2014 WRXtranceformed Wrote:does this mean if you drive a Ford you're an anti-Semite?? No. Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 07-27-2014 CaptainHenreh Wrote:"If fans wish to know the trouble with American baseball they have it in three words—too much Jew." ... Henry Ford.WRXtranceformed Wrote:does this mean if you drive a Ford you're an anti-Semite?? I mean, he handed out anti Semitic magazines at his dealerships, hung out with Hitler's boys and received the highest Nazi foreign award possible. That didn't happen unless you were seriously in bed with those goons. I don't believe everything I hear or read but I'm assuming the National geographic channel did their due diligence before throwing that out there haha... |
