- mrbaggio - 08-07-2008 They should be allowed to monitor whatever they want. It's Apple's product. If you buy it you are "agreeing" to the monitoring. It's bullshit they kept it hidden like that. They should have told the public. - JackoliciousLegs - 08-08-2008 Well, apparently the story is BS... http://daringfireball.net/2008/08/core_ ... _blacklist - Apoc - 08-08-2008 Was probably a foregone conclusion but was fun while it lasted. - CaptainHenreh - 08-11-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:Well, apparently the story is BS... About 20 minutes outside the store then about an hour inside setting it up. The silly girl helping me had no idea what she was doing. After using it for a weekend I really do love the phone. Internet is fast, apps are fun/useful, and user interface is nice. - JackoliciousLegs - 08-11-2008 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Apparently it isn't.JackoliciousLegs Wrote:Well, apparently the story is BS...Apparently the story isn't: - Mike - 08-12-2008 dynolicious better than g-tech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-DFbJQbeSY&fmt=18 - JackoliciousLegs - 08-12-2008 That's actually impressive... - Mike - 08-12-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:That's actually impressive... would have been more impressive, you know, had they done 50 runs and averaged it all out, but i guess that's a bit beyond them... - Ginger - 08-13-2008 I was thinking that I'd like to see somebody try repeated runs... but I do have a friend with an iPhone and a car
- Apoc - 08-19-2008 Posting for Evan. Really? Is basic English really THAT tough? He apparently has a learning defect, too. Seven machines, most of them busted? I hope he comes by money more easily than he parts with it. - REED - 08-19-2008 so here is a little apple frustration that I'm passing along from my sister, about 2/3 years ago she bought her first macbook - has worked flawlessly since then. She gets a new iPod which now requires the newest version of iTunes. Except iTunes won't install on her version of OSX and Apple told her her macbook is not upgradable to the newest version of OSX. It wasn't a memory issue. I don't know if this is because hers might be pre-intel macbook. either way, she is pissed - I don't recall any PC not being upgradable so that you can install a newer operating system. - CaptainHenreh - 08-19-2008 REED Wrote:so here is a little apple frustration that I'm passing along from my sister, about 2/3 years ago she bought her first macbook - has worked flawlessly since then. Well, I know the old G3/G4/G5 chips were PPC architectures, but my understanding was that OS-X was dual-platform. Apparently Leopard doesn't support the G3 or G4 chipsets, although Leopard can be made to work on a G4. So if she's got a G4 she can upgrade. This, folks, is why I don't like Apple. - D_Eclipse9916 - 08-19-2008 Mike Wrote:dynolicious better than g-tech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-DFbJQbeSY&fmt=18 Since I bought a macbook and itouch this week I bought the dynolicious software. If anyone wants to try this shit out give me a call and we can meet up. Tried it on adam's car but didnt realize I needed to calibrate the biatch. - JackoliciousLegs - 08-19-2008 Leopard just won't run well on the older PPC machines. That's all. You should be able to upgrade itunes just fine to the latest version. According to the site, it requires: Mac OS X 10.3.9 or Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later required for iTunes Newer ipods require 10.4.10 to run. She shouldn't have any problems... what version of OSX is she running? 10.3? 10.4 was released on April 29 2005. *If* she's running 10.3, her computer is > 3 years old and apple doesn't sell 10.4 anymore. And 10.5 doesn't run on machines that old. Tell her to get a copy of 10.4 on craigslist or something. - CaptainHenreh - 08-19-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:She shouldn't have any problems... what version of OSX is she running? 10.3? 10.4 was released on April 29 2005. *If* she's running 10.3, her computer is > 3 years old and apple doesn't sell 10.4 anymore. Yet Mac still has the balls to run a series of advertisements on TV talking about how PC's are less upgradeable than Macs. How to upgrade a Mac:
- JackoliciousLegs - 08-19-2008 And here's how you upgrade your PC. http://www.computerworld.com/action/art ... Id=9112885 |
