Uhm, relevance?

I got a bunch of advice, which had scattered experiences from everybody. I'm posting the story about my laptop up for the sake of validating, or invalidating the advice given. It's a consumer anecdote, if you will. I'm not just posting "this shit broke, it sucks." And THAT is exactly what this thread is serving to do. It's an excuse to wallow in self-pity. In relevance to my laptop, I don't care if anybody feels sorry for me at all - it would be nice if somebody read it and thought "gee, I think I won't buy a tablet PC like I had planned."

To make my point further, I never said that I was above any of this. I'm rather sure I posted in here once or twice. I still think it's stupid, and has been taken to extremes. I never discluded myself from my original criticism, nor would I attempt to. Never the less, my original opinion stands.

Isnt that the entire purpose of this thread?

Yeah, and some people have taken it to obnoxious extremes.

Star Trek sucks as most of the playfield is disgusting and half the opto's dont work

The Caterham is broken as the radiator is knackered and now engine tuners are threatening to ruin me with upgrades 'as the head may as well come off to check the liners'

Twilight Zone has broken its left flipper solenoid mount.

The freezer wont run.

The fridge doesn't maintain temperature

Everything sucks in my garage.

- Mike - 01-11-2008

you should get a neo geo, they run well.

Looks like you aren't getting me off that Leader Board any time soon!

You are only on the 'B' score board anyway

...because I didn't want you to melt into a quivering mess of british kebab crap. I chose to leave you the option of explaining away how someone with no prior experience did so well when you're clearly inferior.

If only you hadn't 'bought in', you may have had a point to talk about

139) Sanding drywall compound all day in the garage. I mean seriously, these asshats must've been real jerks. RJ could've put it on smoother than whoever did the jointing in my garage

- WRXtranceformed - 01-13-2008

was your garage fully finished? Most builders who actually drywall their garages usually only hang and tape them... Maybe block if you are lucky. So that would mean that it hasn't been sanded yet Wink usually you have to pay extra to get the drywall finished off and painted.

- HAULN-SS - 01-13-2008

they put the tape on, and didn't put a thin layer over the tape to catch the edges -so I am smoothing whats there now, before i put on my own thin coat, and sand again. Otherwise you'd be able to see the edges of the tape...lame

- WRXtranceformed - 01-13-2008

yea man, that's not poor worksmanship thats just how they are done. The tape helps fireproof the house in case a fire starts in the garage.

- Evan - 01-13-2008

if I bought a brand new car and the trunk was uncarpeted bare metal, Id be pretty pissed, regardless of if thats "how they are done"

just sounds like shortcuts to save the builder $ to me
