- Andy - 05-15-2007 Torque the FW bolts to spec with loctitite. - PDenbigh - 05-15-2007 Well, I run mine on the XR, which only sees track duty. Never experienced one on a DD. I do know it makes the car a little harder to drive because you have less inertia since it's lighter. - Jeff - 06-11-2007 Koni suspension on the way!!! Well, not a complete set. The rear shocks from Koni are not adjustable on the car, so I decided I didn't want the hassle. Most people with these cars avoid the Koni rears, so I got a sweet deal from someone on TD.com. Koni 'red' front struts, KYB gas-a-just rear shocks, new front strut mounts, and a strut tower bar for $300 shipped. Match it up with the Eibach pro-kit I have and Sylvia and I will have the 'best' setup available for the car outside of custom coil-overs. We will go coil-over later once the car is running, we need these struts for that anyway. So....yeah....BLING! - ScottyB - 06-11-2007 cool, can't wait to see it on there. sounds like it'll be a fun little car. - WRXtranceformed - 06-11-2007 GIT 'ER DONE!!! - Jeff - 08-27-2007 Alright, well I know it has been a long time coming, but I have finally decided that I need to invest the money and time needed and get the Daytona finished and show all you bitches how ballin a mopar can be. My school day is over by noon every day, so I will begin making regular trips down to turn wrenches and make progress on this. The to-do's General - Dust... Engine- 1. Install turbo oil drain and new valve cover 2. Remove the timing belt and install oil and prime the pump and system 3. Re-install timing belt and adjustable cam gear and assure proper base time. Fuel/air 1. Plumb intercooler 2. Install fuel filter (none on car now) 3. Install wideband Transmission- 1. Pay mechanic to help me check tolerances and install new case bearing. 2. Re-assemble Body- [All of this I will pay bodyshop guys to do on their own time, I'm expecting about $500.] 1. Install front fenders after dropping in drivetrain and align body panels. 2. fix passenger's door and rear quarter panel 3. Prep for paint 4. Paint trim, GFX, and nose piece 5. Paint, wetsand, buff. Interior - 1. Install glass 2. Evaluate pieces in long term storage for damage 3. Install audio components (all Infinity Kappa) 4. Re assemble from doors back There really is very little left to do. But between working and school it will be tough to make progress. If anyone in MM wants to come and help or at least hang out (working on cars alone blows dick) I'd be more then happy to help you with little projects in a place with air, lights, heat (when it gets cold), and lifts. - Gs dewd - 08-29-2007 I am open to help every other weekend just let me know. I turn wrenches for a living and owned a turbo laser in the past so I know a few things about the Daytona/Laser platform. - Jeff - 09-24-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:TurboOmni08 Wrote: I'll get the "damn car" together this summer...I swear on a bible. ![]() Still waiting around with thumb in ass. I've been buying too many other toys to keep up with deadlines...the lines at this point are just that...dead. - WRXtranceformed - 09-24-2007 Ha ha ha... Well, I don't think it will surprise anyone here. Keep at it, you'll get that thing done eventually if you get your car ADD under control  - CaptainHenreh - 09-24-2007 The bible doesn't mean anything to Jeff to swear on. He needs to swear on a Mopar Service Manual or something. - Jeff - 09-24-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:... get your car ADD under control  Its not cars. I have a TV and handgun buying problem. I just can't help myself. I upgrade either a TV or a gun each month it seems. - .RJ - 09-24-2007 I thought I had a shiny new thing problem... - Jeff - 09-24-2007 New goodies on the way as of today... TU aluminum flywheel ![]() Fidanza adjustable aluminum cam gear ![]() A poly transmission mount and a turbo drain hose. That makes up the order. This stuff should get my ass in gear to get the tranny back together. - ScottyB - 09-24-2007 go Jeff go! - Evan - 09-25-2007
