I'm ready for an automatic now tbh. All this shifting between stoplights and traffic is getting old, roads here aren't meant for whipping anyways. Jumping in now for Taylors other side of this argument where he complains that a manual is bad for him physically just after praising how much better it is ...emotionally? Yeah, I'm lucky in that aspect too. Alissa had already given me the green light on whatever I want to replace the gti, whenever that happens; I'm the only one holding me back there. She acknowledges my choices without question (for the most part), which is great. RE: Project: Space Wagon - .RJ - 01-24-2019 Maybe I buy an Alltrack (manual because fuck you) and leave it the fuck alone and go looking for an M3/S4/E30/S2000/etc RE: Project: Space Wagon - SlimKlim - 01-24-2019 Well now I have the car for you RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 01-24-2019 (01-24-2019, 02:53 PM)Sijray21 Wrote: Yeah, I'm lucky in that aspect too. My wife preferred the F31, which I did too. Her only request was that we not buy one in white. Oops. Also, we have Park. Don't move to Settle. The city is the second hilliest in the US, behind SF. Parallel parking the 911, with manual steering and ridiculously stiff clutch, is pretty miserable. RE: Project: Space Wagon - Jake - 01-24-2019 I don't keep my foot on the brake in traffic either, because Adaptive Cruise Control does it for me. This too, you chose poorly. My wife drove a manual when we met and when we went new car shopping last fall, her two requirments were a sunroof and a manual transmission. RE: Project: Space Wagon - .RJ - 01-24-2019 ... and what did you buy? This wouldnt be much of a problem if it wasnt so damn hard to buy a car with a manual, they either dont exist or only exist in base model trims. If the F31 came in manual this thread would have never happened. Although I did talk to BPC about converting one, but it would have to go RWD, BMW never sold a N20+xDrive+Manual combo. Xdrive electronics? Mechanicals not matching can be solved with monies. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk RE: Project: Space Wagon - .RJ - 01-24-2019 Electronics can be coded to work. I didnt want to lose the AWD so its a non-starter. Since we both contribute to the income I feel it's only right to discuss how we spend our income; I respect my wife so it's something I would consider disrespectful if I just chose how we spend quite a bit of our money. RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 01-24-2019 I discussed the GTI purchase with my wife. I didn't need a green light. Then again, both my wife and I have slush funds so we can spend it however we want - no questions asked. She doesn't work, so her slush fund comes from my income. I imagine this is kinda what it feels like to pay alimony. RE: Project: Space Wagon - Senor_Taylor - 01-24-2019 (01-24-2019, 05:39 PM)Apoc Wrote: I discussed the GTI purchase with my wife. Pretty sure jray knows I'm fucking with him. Not sure what you mean about constantly, as I don't recall other instances. It takes a lot more than that. (01-24-2019, 05:44 PM)Apoc Wrote: I was questioning his manhood, not his marriage, because that's how the internet works. Get it right. This is true. I respect my wife and her role in our family and that makes me less of a man. It's the internet way; I must accept. On another note to derail this topic even more, I just sat in a beautiful m2 today. RJ... Get that... I can only imagine it was a shocking/vulgar conversation knowing Alissa. It involved some disagreeable women near us and their coital habits including their heads through toilet seats. I'm curious if she remembers this conversation because I remember it vividly. Pretty sure I told RJ afterwards that was in love with her.
