Apparently Mazda is now planning for the RX-7 successor to be a 450hp turbo rotary. Doubt I'll ever own one but I definitely want to see it become a reality.

dammit mazda, youre a small company with limited resources, stop playing with bullshit spinny 2strokes and how about you fix your deisel engine so it works in the states since its over a year late already, and then get working to turbo-ify the skyactiv engines.
btw, that article is bullshit. rx8 platform will die when the next miata comes out next year, and it isnt a skyactiv platform to begin with. thats the same "rx8 platform" rumor that has been going around since the rx8.

Yeah I'll believe in aRX-7 when I see it. As much as I'd like to see a spinning dorito 2-seater I think if they just tossed a turbo 4 in a light rwd coupe chassis and called it a MX-7, Mazda would be better off.
