Just to clear up on the food at VIR situation. I spoke with Laura Cobetto about this in March, they like that we grill, and were thinking about having us grill food for the workers. We would come to a decision about $$ before hand and would get that much money to buy food and supplies, the rest would be profit. However, Laura and Chris needed to discuss this among themselves because they didn't want VIR to lose their shit about this. So I'm going to talk to Laura next weekend, and see what has been decided. My guess is, this probably wont' fly, because VIR are a bunch of assholes. But... its an option, and I'll find out more soon.

And I can promise there are alumni that DIDNT pay. Can we get a reminder once a year? Where is the "official" list of members who have paid? I can not even remember if I pay or not and I do not mind throwing another $40 (why has it doubled in just 3 years when I feel like events have gone down?) but it would be nice to have that list.

Thank you Julie for clearing that up. Officers will be in touch with you about that once we are elected. Kaan, if alumni and paid and didn't receive anything they should have made that clear to the present officers. I can promise you that if you or any other alum pays, you will get your shirt and sticker. If we decide to do anything else, you will get that too. Dj is also right. There are plenty of alumni lurking the forum and hitting the events, but haven't paid. I can make sure that there are reminder emails and phone calls made to alumni to remind you guys that dues are due. The amount rose last year because we were hurting financially. MM is and will be the cheapest club on campus, so we figured another $10 wouldn't hurt anyone's pockets too much. That was last year though. We plan to do multiple fundraisers so we do not have to rely only on dues.

Yeah, there's never seemingly been a protocol established (that i was aware of, anyway) for alumni dues. Just getting something established would be a good start.
