Sooo tempting. Autocross is on my list of things to do this year....
Edit: What are the requirements for helmets in NASA-X? I have a Snell M2005.

This has beena long time coming, but I'm pretty excited for my first autocross.

As far as i know, the table is not happening. The 2 of us just wont have the time to do it.

So, I'm offering my services.t if you need someone to run the table, I can do so. I'm more then happy with driving down too, if need be.
you might be able to convince me to run. I've just not done an auto-x before, prefer not to embarrass myself to badly.

I would rather you do the AutoX
, if your a noob you probably wont have the time to run the table and run your car. So if we have to choose, I choose you participating in the AutoX.Come on down man, and bring some of the new kids with you!!!!!

Seriously though, if you want to autocross, do it. I've been kicking around the idea for 7 or 8 years, and I'm just now doing it because of the same concerns you stated. Everyone screws up and everyone has to start somewhere.
If you use that excuse, you'll keep using it, and never autocross or race. Trust me, I know.

Plenty of experienced autocrossers at the events. There is a Novice meeting at the beginning, ask questions, this will also be the time you can meet with an "Instructor" to ride along with you the first few runs so you can get a hang of the course/basics.

Please do not let that hold you back from autoxing. The first time you spoke, did you spout English Poetry? So why does everyone think the first time they autox, they need to be Michael Schumacher?
It is funny, people that are new, are always so afriad to spin or hit a cone. I have done over a 100+ with multiple regional titles, and if I don't hit a cone or spin, or do something stupid in an autox, then I am just going along for the ride. So go for it! Hit those cones, spin out, HAVE FUN!!

I will never forget my first time pulling up to the line, shaking almost uncontrollably from how nervous i was. Then i finished and all i wanted to do was go back again and again lol.

My guess is I will be nervous, and then when I am done I'll feel bad and want to help pick up every single cone, since I feel like I'll hit all of them.
All kidding aside, from my racing experience, the nervousness goes away as soon as you start moving, to a large extent.
