Yeah, I didn't understand this "it says it's non-lifting" stuff.... so... there's some companies that sell stuff that peels up when you have some gum stuck to your shoe? Who the hell would want that?

Anyway, looks good. I hope it is, indeed, non-lifting. I hope it is also non-suddenly-turning-to-phosgene-gas, non-radioactive, and non-violently-reacts-to-tires-and-permanently-glues-them-to-the-floor. .....Did you check?

ALSO: Lowes, for labor day weekend, has these kits on sale for 50 bucks a pop. So if you were thinking about doing it, you should do it nao.

So I want to do this to my garage. However my garage was poured in 1976 and has a few cracks in it. Do I need to do anything extra to prep the cracks in the concrete or is it no different than the expansion joints you have in your garage now?

I had a chip at the "end" of my garage that was the result of a crack. I just filled that mother in. Clean the crack out as best you can (pressure washer?) and do it to it.

Dad and I finished this Sunday evening and I snapped these pics today. Standard color and flakes out of the box, with the optional clear top coat. So far it looks great - we far exceeded all the dry times so we still haven't put any items on the floor or parked cars, as I'm only now walking on it after 36+ hours or so.

We had a decent-sized Y-shape crack near the door, and a dumbass PO nailed 2x4's in the floor that took with them chunks of concrete when pulled up. We filled in the former with some concrete crack sealer from Lowe's and the latter with Quickrete filler, and sanded both down until smooth with the floor. That seemed to do the trick Smile You can still notice where they are if you look, but the prepped-crack definitely isn't as noticeable as a few small ones here and there that were left be.

A few spots (smaller than a fingernail, less than a half dozen) here and there have lifted. Probably a combo of poor prep and judicious use of carb cleaner on all the things. I'm still very pleased.

Pretty good on my end. The clear top coat we put on had some areas that turned white-ish after drying - kind of a spider web effect. If memory serves it appeared when the temps dropped (coated in the fall). A few small spots here and there (and a random large one in a low-traffic area) have lifted, but I had some matched floor paint mixed up and the touched up areas have been doing well.
