I always thought DLP looked alright, but I was always skeptical of bulbs burning out. My old college roommates TV barely lasted 3 years before it needed like a 400$ bulb

My bulb already burned out (it was a display model so probably got ran pretty hard) but I bought Best Buy's service plan on it and it covers bulbs. So that replaced the first and probably the second one.

tigerdirect has a 50" 1080p plasma samsung on their site right now for 700$ btw
