Please explain why, because I dont get it. Quote:But it sounds like this argument will pin me against everyone else, Why would that happen? Just because I dont like religion does not mean I am against anyone who believes in it. - Feersty - 08-31-2004 Just the fact that this life at times can suck balls, and it is reassuring to know that "heaven" will be free of all worries. I mean death is not something that most people look forward to, but life on earth pales in comparsion to the afterlife, as long as you are with the guy with the beard and not the one with the horns. second quote: Many of you are critical of what I say, and chop up my statements, so I was kind of apprehensive to divulge into what my actual views were. Yes life sucks. But thats life and it could always be worse. Problem is I dont believe in afterlife. I dont believe in God or the devil or any of that stuff either. I think too many people use religion as a crutch on their lives instead of choosing their own path and doing what makes them happy - not "Gods will". - Feersty - 08-31-2004 A lot of people make their own gods in their head and then convince themselves that the way their living is moral, so they have justification for living a certain way. While denying God's existence at the same time. There is a big difference in severity of sin, between someone living in a cave and never knowing of God, and learning about Him and denying his very existence. He is our creator, and our purpose is to worship and honor Him, while keeping in mind his unconditional love for us. Sorry for anyone that doesn't want to read this, but passion for my faith gives me the inspiration. - damnit458 - 08-31-2004 I agree =-). I am not even close to being very religious, but I do believe in a heaven and a hell. And to be honest my idea of heaven and hell is from my own thoughts, altho obviously they are somewhat influenced by what I have heard growing up my whole life. Im sorry but i want that tshirt...I cant imagine how good it would feel to go back to my catholic highschool in NOVA and tape 100 of those tshirts arround the campus - damnit458 - 08-31-2004 BTW i give props to feersty, its a lot, a lot easier to ask questions than answer em
