- .RJ - 09-01-2004 You have to adjust the pedal for engagement when you install the exedy. I have no idea why, but if you dont they're shot in under 10,000 miles. - Mike - 09-01-2004 .RJ Wrote:You have to adjust the pedal for engagement when you install the exedy. I have no idea why, but if YOU dont it'll be shot in under 10,000 miles. - .RJ - 09-01-2004 :?: - Mike - 09-01-2004 .RJ Wrote::?: note the emphasis on "you." - Andy - 09-01-2004 I've never heard of this. I didn't adjust anything because I thought H22A clutches are self adjusting. I just made sure the pedal didn't did rest flush on the Clutch Switch body. I didn't see anything warning slip with the clutch. Where did you guys hear this from? Please elaborate, maybe this is the reason why my Exedy didn't last. - .RJ - 09-01-2004 A few people (who's opinion I trust) have had this happen with them. The clutches arent self adjusting - you have to adjust the pedal where it does into the clutch master cyl on the firewall. - Andy - 09-01-2004 this sounds like it would apply to all clutches, why just the exedy? - Maengelito - 09-01-2004 i've got the exedy organic race clutch which was put in over 40k miles ago. its still good. i dont know if the pedal was adjusted because i had paid to put it in, but it seems to work fine though. - Andy - 09-02-2004 did you put it in your LS, or the STI. The thing I've heard is that Exedy has a low torque capacity. Titan Motorsports told me that Exedy goes out around 200 whp. - Mike - 09-02-2004 his ls |
