You have to adjust the pedal for engagement when you install the exedy. I have no idea why, but if you dont they're shot in under 10,000 miles.

Correction, YOU have to adjust the pedal for engagement when YOU install the exedy. I have no idea why, but if YOU dont it'll be shot in under 10,000 miles.

I've never heard of this. I didn't adjust anything because I thought H22A clutches are self adjusting. I just made sure the pedal didn't did rest flush on the Clutch Switch body. I didn't see anything warning slip with the clutch. Where did you guys hear this from? Please elaborate, maybe this is the reason why my Exedy didn't last.

A few people (who's opinion I trust) have had this happen with them.

The clutches arent self adjusting - you have to adjust the pedal where it does into the clutch master cyl on the firewall.

i've got the exedy organic race clutch which was put in over 40k miles ago. its still good. i dont know if the pedal was adjusted because i had paid to put it in, but it seems to work fine though.

did you put it in your LS, or the STI. The thing I've heard is that Exedy has a low torque capacity. Titan Motorsports told me that Exedy goes out around 200 whp.
