Does anyone know if I need to bleed my brakes with high-temp fluid to do the hyperdrive? I'm assuming so, but I'm not sure.

You might as well bleed it out. OG Racing has ATE super-blue cheap, not a good daily fluid, but awesome for track.

If you look at their *wet* boiling points compared to a cheap synthetic non-race fluid (such as pennzoil synthetic), the pennzoil has a higher *wet* boiling point compared to ATE Superblue.
Since a track car sees its fluid changed more regularly, the "dry" boiling point is much more of a concern, and ATE kicks pennzoils ass in the dry boiling point.
A daily driven car sees lots of miles between flushes, so therefore the fluid is based on a *wet* boiling point, therefore, I go with the pennzoil.
Now if ur not heating up your fluid on the road, you will not see the boiling points of either the ATE or Pennzoil, just make sure your changing it before you get to the track, as ATE superblue that has been sitting will have a lower boiling point than Penzoil thats been sitting. Change it out right before your track event and youll have ATE at the dry boiling point meaning better than used or new Penzzoil.
Basically:
Change your fuild before track events regularly: ATE
Not changin your fluids before track events: Pennzoil
Fluid just for the street: Pennzoil

ATE Superblue's wet boiling point is 388 degrees, I can't find Pennzoil's spec. If you are getting your brake fluid to 388 degrees on the street, you need to slow down or make sure you flush your brake fluid regularly so you don't kill someone.

The main point is, if your tracking and dailying on the same fluid, penzoil is better. On the street, meh it doesnt matter each one as you wont get to the boiling point of either, so why not use the cheaper stuff :dunno:
In my mind it only makes sense to use ATE superblue on the street if you want to be able to flush and know when its between yellow and blue. And I flush my brake fluid enough that its a benign point.

Well I looked it up, and either its changed, or im completely wrong. I looked up them and what I was thinking of the Advance Auto Synthetic was Valoline Synthetic, not penzoil. Either way, I was wrong, I was sure I had seen a table that had ATE wet boiling point much lower than the valvoline, but it was in my head. Then agian, this table could be wrong, but so could what I have seen. So it looks like ATE is the best at the price point no matter wether its wet or dry, interesting to see tho that the Valvoline Synpower which is really cheap at Advance Auto is only a few degrees off ATE, so if your in a bind, Synpower is only 30 degrees off._____________________________Dry_______Wet______6 Months

Either fluid would be fine for both street and track duty seeing as how this will be his first time on track and it will only be a hyperdrive session.

I daily my car with ate blue/gold and my race pads (not usually, I just have the past 1.5 months). I'm so lazy to swap out even my rear pads which take 5 mins rofl

And we should see more MMers out there, so far its me, Maeng, Joey, Mike, and Steve! If your not ready for a full HPDE, as I said there is Hyperdrives.
Also I will be bringing a 10x10 canopy and a few chairs. I will also be bringing a jack and regular tools and a "brake bleeding kit".
Maeng I just saw your on the waiting list for karting, did you want to join my team? (Team Run Its Godzirra) Its only Mike and I right now.

There should be a decent showing on Sunday for people wanting ride-alongs in HDPE and doing the touring laps. That's usually a good segway into hyperdrives and doing your own HPDE. I mean, I'd do something but can't, the way my car is set up right now.
