- .RJ - 08-06-2004 Yeah, if you leave it out or pour it on the ground they will probably get into it. - Sijray21 - 08-06-2004 .RJ Wrote:Dave Wrote:I recognize there is more coolant still in the engine, so I repeated this process several times. Do you really need a breaker bar, can't use a torque'd torque wrench? 1/2" or 3/8" for the honda blocks? - .RJ - 08-06-2004 Do not use a torque wrench as a breaker bar. You will break it... and there's usually not a warranty on them. - Chris - 08-06-2004 .RJ Wrote:Do not use a torque wrench as a breaker bar. - Chris - 08-11-2004 .RJ Wrote:Dave Wrote:I recognize there is more coolant still in the engine, so I repeated this process several times. I was reading up on how to change the coolant and saw there is a "T Fitting" that goes on the end of a garden hose that attaches to the hoses for the radiator (so you can actually put pressure into the system and flush it out). The reason I'm asking this is bc I was wondering if doing this would save me from draining the block. In looking where the drain bolts are located, they would prob be a pain in the ass to remove. If this garden hose thing is just a reason to spend more money at Advance, then screw it and I'll drain the block... - .RJ - 08-11-2004 The problem with the flush is you're still going to have a bunch of water left in the block when you're done. Pick up the coolant from the dealer also - the Honda Genuine Type II (long life) coolant, its pre-mixed (dont add water). Dont forget to bleed the system after re-filling, otherwise j00r shit will run t00 h0t. - KPWSerpiente - 08-11-2004 Quote:it has a tendency to snap things Yep. I'm just now getting around to pulling the manifold/turbo and replacing that bolt I broke with your bar. -T - .RJ - 08-11-2004 You need to use a bit of finesse when removing exhaust bolts - dont just torque on them hard because they will snap. Use a wrench with some decent leverage and *tap* the bolt loose (small hammer works too), rather than just yank it so that you get 100 ft-llbs. - Chris - 08-11-2004 I hate exhaust bolts more than anything - .RJ - 08-11-2004 PB Blaster is your friend...... I do not like exhaust work either. Rust in the eyes sux. - Mike - 08-11-2004 .RJ Wrote:PB Blaster is your friend......
