I love country/bluegrass music, but that shouldn't come as a surprise to most of you.

I am a TNG fanatic.

I have a thing for automatic sports cars Wink

i read a fair amount.
i drink lots of wine.
i hate cheap/american beer.
i eat fancy cheeses.
i wanted to major in interior design at one point in my life. still wouldn't mind getting in to it; i've got a good eye.
i watch anime.
i regularly listen to classical music.
i would love to get in to playing tuba again.
i would love to learn how to play piano.
i thought of buying a miata recently.

LOL you guys. alot of this stuff isn't THAT shameful. most of it is pretty funny though.

- one of my favorite drinks is chocolate milk with a straw
- i read star wars and halo novels as well as comic books
- i can't drink more than about 3 beers in succession without being sloppy drunk but i do love cheap wine and i'm a beer snob

-"The Hills"- It started innocently as being in the room when the girls/wife wanted to watch...but I look forward to it now and wish it was an hour long.

Thank you, I'm glad some of you are finally opening up Tongue

For the record, I don't think bluegrass and classical music should be guilty pleasures... that's just good taste. I also think a lot of Mike's are just personal taste and not guilty pleasures.

The things I think people might make fun of me for...

~Moulin Rouge is in my top 3 movies of all times (I like musicals)
~I enjoy So You Think You Can Dance
~I do all the cooking in my house
~I like clothes shopping for/with the wife and have been known to watch What Not to Wear with her
~I still watch Survivor
~I collect limited production X-Men statues
~I really like Facebook

man, I like musicals too, but I couldn't even watch that whole thing, it was awful. :dunno: But hey, I know you're not alone, a lot of people liked it, I just don't see how that's possible. It sits next to Tank Girl as the only movies I've ever just walked away from halfway through.

I almost walked out of Sweeney Todd. The only thing that kept me there was the fact that I was so hammered I just passed out through the last 2 hours of it.

Yeah I didn't like that movie at all. I really, really wanted to... but it just didn't work as a movie.

That reminds me of one I forgot...
~I like going to see plays/stage shows.

-I love reading. I will read almost anything and am in the middle of a book at virtually all times. I'm starting to build up a collection of "classics", own more than 50% of Stephen King's books (my favorite author), and have a pretty good collection of automotive references as well.
-I do not follow any sports whatsoever. This point bring lots of ridicule at the office, b/c I remember players and teams from when I was a kid and now the players are coaches and some of the teams don't even exist. It's bad enough that they'll be talking about games and I don't even know what sport it is b/c I don't recognize the teams involved...
-I really want to get into building scale models. I did it when I was a kid, but never did any painting and rarely even put stickers on. I want to take it to the next level now...
-Lindsey and I enjoy putting together puzzles, many of which get sealed with puzzle paste and are then rotated in the house depending on the season.
-Moulin Rouge is often what we watch while we puzzle. It is the only musical I have enjoyed, although Rent isn't too bad.
-I don't really enjoy beer much any more; but Captain Morgan's + Cherry Coke is still my go-to drink. 2 drinks will usually get me drunk, much more than that and it goes downhill quickly.

+1 Did not enjoy at all. Was not drunk :-(.

this is something i actually started back up about 2 years ago after getting out of it in college. i'm almost finished with a 1/24 scale Morgan 4/4 roadster. i'll post it up soon.

if you want any tips/pointers or a list of stuff to buy that will allow you to build most anything, let me know! i've also bought alot of different brands so i can recommend a few too.

- BLINGMW - 11-26-2008

heh, I liked Todd. Go figure.

Yikes..steven king? really? Man, his stories are terrible, and they're written on such a low level!

-I also like(love) bluegrass. I know pretty much all the words,a nd half the songs on guitar..but i usually have to change the channel in my car, especially if I'm riding with a girl..because very few actually get it.
-Moulin rouge is up there for me, but only because of Nicole Kidman in it.
-I got suckered into watching America's Next Top Model with my roommate this year, but definately got drawn into it.
-I definately stop on the disney channel if I'm ever surfing and the old spider-man series is on.

- Apoc - 11-26-2008

~I love DBZ and spent $10 in Osaka trying to win a 2' diameter plush dragonball out of a claw machine. I failed and was sad.

I'm glad you guys mentioned musicals, because I'm a huge sucker for a good one. Rent, Phantom, The King and I, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, whatever.

Only musical I can think of that I just can't stand is Grease.

- Apoc - 11-26-2008

I didn't like Rent, or Cats for that matter, but I love Grease and Little Shop of Horrors. Smile
