- Ole - 10-27-2008 I have a little bit of experience with employment contracts. Make sure there is no conflict. You dont want to have go through arbitration or pay back money you receive. - BLAIR - 10-27-2008 made up my mind. after today i decided to 100% take this package.. JOB ANYONE? moving back to nova end of november - WRXtranceformed - 10-27-2008 Very good decision man, that will give you a great cushion until you find something else.. which you will! - ScottyB - 10-27-2008 i think you made the right call. good luck man, there will be an opening for you, just keep your eyes open - .paul - 10-27-2008 forward your resume blair paul.baz@gmail.com - Feersty - 11-23-2008 BLAIR Wrote:made up my mind. after today i decided to 100% take this package.. Cool deal. Just saw your facebook wall. You gonna chill out for a little bit, or start work to make payments on the Rubicon? - Mike - 11-23-2008 Feersty Wrote:BLAIR Wrote:made up my mind. after today i decided to 100% take this package.. what does making payments on the rubicon have to do with anything? or did you just want to chime in that you saw he bought something? he got a package. it's as if he's employed for at least a few months. i'm sure he wants to find a job, but making payments on his rubicon is not the driving force. - BLAIR - 11-24-2008 the rubicon was free. It stickered at 36k but with the incentives and emp. price im getting it for under 25k. part of the severance package was a 25k car voucher. I wanted to just cash it in but we have to keep it for 6 months. Ill probably just sell it after the 6 months. Moving back to NOVA for good on weds. Got all my stuff moved back home. Final day of work is TODAY.. Getting the resume all up to date then job hunting. Deff want to look into VW- Audi - Nissan headquarters. anyone got any connections at any of those? - Mike - 11-24-2008 Free car? Damn, you got a great deal. - Apoc - 11-24-2008 BLAIR Wrote:Deff want to look into VW- Audi - Nissan headquarters. anyone got any connections at any of those? My neighbor works for them... what kinda werk you looking for? - Ole - 11-24-2008 A friend of mine that races just moved to Audi. Let me know what you are looking for and I will ask what the environment is like. - BLAIR - 11-24-2008 im just looking to get my foot in the door.. then i can get anywhere - Apoc - 11-24-2008 BLAIR Wrote:im just looking to get my foot in the door.. then i can get anywhere That's not exactly an easy sell. Oh he doesn't care what he does, he just wants to work for you guys. Can you help him? - BLAIR - 11-24-2008 Apoc Wrote:BLAIR Wrote:im just looking to get my foot in the door.. then i can get anywhere what do you mean? - BLINGMW - 11-24-2008 Apoc Wrote:Oh he doesn't care what he does, he just wants to work for you guys. Can you help him? heh, that's pretty much gotten me all the jobs I've had. I don't care man, just give me a job! Depending on the manager or person hiring, if they see you're enthusiastic about the company and willing to do anything, they can more easily find a fit. Of course, I can see how it would fail often as well. - Apoc - 11-24-2008 BLAIR Wrote:what do you mean? It's not exactly easy to inquire about job opportunities if they don't know if you want to design sun visors or clean the shitters. Having a direction, other than "anything", says not only that you might actually be worth hiring, but will help figure out whom to ask if they're hiring. - BLAIR - 11-29-2008 well i wanna run the company.. i guess i should go in and ask for that job huh? - .paul - 11-29-2008 "i'll do anything" in a manager eyes, is cheap labor. - Feersty - 11-29-2008 So you don't just want to work at a dealership, but something at corporate level? - BLAIR - 11-30-2008 obviously how i talk here isnt what i would say in an interview. I wouldnt go in there and just say id do anything, I more so would be willing to take a position that may not be ideal and from there once im in the door, look for stuff elsewhere. I am not looking to work in a dealership a this point. I would like to stay on the corporate side of the auto industry |
