to return the car back to stock, sell parts and get a gs-x of which the history isn't known...i say money loss

seems that way to me anyway. I realize that the gs-x is awd, but i thought Travis was pretty set on his gs-t.

i don't care what he's set on... drag racing an fwd with heavy power is an enormous waste of time. especially when there are much better alternatives (a gsx) readily available. perhaps he's on some crusade to prove the world wrong, but if so he's doing a bad job of it (high 13s with a 110+ trap).

Mike, I know not all of us have actually done the work on our cars, but when you have you don't just return it back to stock and buy a different car because it's not hitting the e.t.'s just yet. A full second can be cut with the right traction oriented mods, and I have plans to go bigger in the power department.
GSX's are also known to break transmission and drivetrain parts like it is their job. So I think I'll stick with my car, the one I've poured my energy into and when the 12 second slips come you'll have the pleasure of knowing a fwd car that can run with a z06 from a stop.

I don't use the stutterbox. I tried that + antilag at the track once and I'm sure you can imagine the results. I launch at 3,5/4k, completely based on feel. Yes I use the no lift to shift for the 2/3 and 3/4 shifts.

Everyone's just trying to be helpful. What tires are you currently using and how much air pressure is in them?

It's not that I don't have faith in your tuning abilities. Actually, I just think it'll be hard to get much more out of your current setup without other supporting mods, but you could very well prove me wrong. I hope you do.

Now that you've told me your WG leaks at 19 psi, I'm even more inclined to stick with my estimates.

actually my old mechanic dave at capitol heights drove a b18c5 heavily modified, but it was his daily driver and it got 12.92 et, not sure what the trap was. but i remember watching him at mir about 3 years ago

My wastegate does not leak. It blows open at high rpms because of it's enlarged surface area.


Also, compression test results from earlier today, read from 4 to 1:

180, 180, 175, 176.

I hate to be the one to break this to you again, but... your wastegate leaks. You just told me it did... twice. I have taken the liberty of removing all ambiguities for you:
