- HAULN-SS - 02-13-2008 plans? - ViPER1313 - 02-13-2008 1st, what needs to be fixed / maintenance: -Clunk in front suspension. -Small leak in valve cover gasket -Replace thermostat -Replace front CV joints -Fix crack in exhaust manifold / replace manifold. -Flush all fluids -Disable 1g alarm that previous owner said goes off non stop -Reinstall rear seats/seatbelts to pass MD inspection -Remove 1 remaining fog light - MD inspection -Fix reverse lights - MD inspection -Install new rims (2 dented) -Replace timing belt / balance shaft belt + tensioners + pulleys. Initial planned upgrades: -Full suspension (Koni / Eibach or some sort of coil over setup) + mounts + bushings. -Brakes (most likely try some baller front pads, work my way up from there) -Aluminum radiator -FMIC -Exhaust (don't know what type yet.... suggestions? ) Then: -DSM Link -850+ injectors (or might do RX7 injectors if I can find them cheap) -Walbaro 255 / FPR -GM MAF FINALLY: -MORE BOOST And on a side note, SHOs do not deserve the press they get for being hard to work on. After reading the procedure on how to replace the timing belt on this thing I wanted to scream. Bearings for axle input shafts? Fuel filters that are bolted to the fuel line? The Japanese be crazy.... - Evan - 02-13-2008 dont forget a AAA Platinum membership
- JustinG - 02-14-2008 adam theres plenty of used 2g manifolds on dsmtuners.com classifieds.... - D_Eclipse9916 - 02-14-2008 Or upgrade at Dj's Emporium of dsm parts! I got a EVO 3 GT Manifold Also got a hogged out 2g o2 housing. Both will net you some damn good gains..... and fix your problem while your at it..... Then we can hook you up with a manual boost controller and valve cover gasket/spark plug grommet seals and half moon gasket. And for the low price of some cold ass beers do a timing belt install/pulleys/water pump/balance shaft belt. OH PS ive done the timing belt plenty of times, its not that hard, instructions look crazy but it actually doesnt take that much time at all. Ive got all the factory tools to do it, except for one pulley that I need a torque wrench in in/lbs to get exactly right. I will be getting one though probably by the time you want yours done/its warm outside enough for me to work on a car. - WRXtranceformed - 02-14-2008 Well Adam, at least now you've got a good support group for your car at JMU
