Tricks or tips on getting the ducting to rotate with the wheel? See this is what im trying to understand. Why to the center of the rotor and not to th caliper/rotor. I run 2 piece rotors with aluminum hats and I got a huge hub and axle in the fucking way, so I would think the ideal way to do it would be directly on the rotor. I will see what I can do about getting the ducting to route towards more of the center of the rotor. Yeah Travis, car should be running tomorrow night or the night after that, all I have to do is finish up the timing belt now, everything is in aside from that. Just give me a call if your in the area, im located in tysons corner. I may take longer to get the car done if I want to seal up the radiator better for ducting along with getting all the brake ducts run. Oh PS, angle grinder with an awesome cutting wheel is the best thing in the world for doing intercooler piping and cutting an- line. I definitely used that angle grinder for all its worth. I had extra intercooler piping around and I wanted to keep my old setup so it was all bolt on in case I didnt like the setup so it should not take me more than an hour to swap back to the old turbo if I need to....... - Mike - 12-25-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:.RJ Wrote:D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:Pictures up, I would like any suggestions from the road race guys about brake ducting, is there any wrong way to route? As Mike said, the rotors are vented so blowing air in the center helps capitalize on the vane direction and pulling air through the rotor and cooling it evenly. - CaptainHenreh - 12-25-2007 Looks like fun, DJ. Probably be able to feel the explosion from here. - .RJ - 12-25-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:See this is what im trying to understand. Why to the center of the rotor and not to th caliper/rotor. Rotors are the heat sink for the brakes, get those cooler and the pads/fluid will run cooler as well. You may want to get some of the high temp hose as well with all the heat under the hood. - Shep - 12-25-2007 400hp? Your shit is weak. You will never be like your hero with that tiny ass snail - might as well borrow your girlfriend's hair dryer and stuff it in the intake! - WRXtranceformed - 12-26-2007 Alt nicks ftw!! |
