yes, this is true, 'glasspacks' are commonly referred to any type of muffler that is a straight through design. While this is not technically true. Something like the Cherry Bomb is a true Glasspack (http://www.cherrybomb.com/glasspacks-front.html). I had straight through mufflers/resonators on the mustang. They are not technically a muffler either since they don't have chambers. A resonator is just a device that cancels out certain wavelengths of sound aka muffler. Mufflers usually consist of multiple chambers, those straight throughs are still mufflers, just compact, I am often asked to add them to the exhaust of mustangs to reduce the 'drone'. They just help cancel out certain frequencies.

Its funny, I was reading the description of that ultraflow just now "These may look like glasspacks, but these mufflers are made just for racing!"

right..i almost commented about that too - how some glasspacks don't call themselves glasspacks.

You should buy used whatever you do..check out racingjunk.com or something. I got both my mufflers for like 100$ shipped

you got dynomax ultraflos for 20$ each? I searched for a while and 50$/each was as low as i found, and that was *barely* used.
