- JackoliciousLegs - 07-02-2004 186k on org motor? it'd gonna die son - ECEtiger - 07-02-2004 I was a used car salesman for two years (yeah, yeah bite me) and I could probably show you a few tricks for finding the best price on whatever you choose to buy. As far as what you should buy, my vote goes for a 240. Just be really picky about its condition. I got one that was pretty rough and it was a headache. The wiring harness to the ECU had been butt connected (no lie). The keys to finding a used car for an incredible deal include market research, cornering your victim (I mean seller), inspecting the vehicle, understanding the concept of friendly devaluing, and closing the sale (for yourself). If you care, I'll go into more details. Just so you know, I've bought and sold appx 150 cars, 13 of them my own personal vehicles. I bought a 99 BMW M-coupe for $16,800 drove it 22,000 miles, broke the transmission and sold it for $18,000. Currently, I drive a 99 miata that I bought with 50k mi for $7,000. - CaptainHenreh - 07-02-2004 Ask him if he'll take 700 for it. If he will, I... ... . Damn it. - Ryan T - 07-02-2004 I've done pretty good at the car buying game. I bought a 1997 SS Camaro with 15k miles on it for $13000 from the dealership, that was 2.5 years ago. I also picked up a 96gsr with leather interior and 14,903 miles for $8,000 and then got 11,500 for it from my insurance company when it had 25000 miles on it. Before I buy anything, if I do buy something, there will be a good bit of research on what the car is actually worth and then what I'm willing to pay for it. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-02-2004 alright, how much mone do you want to spend? - .RJ - 07-02-2004 Buy a hype-arr - Ryan T - 07-02-2004 I'd prefer to keep it in or around 7k. - .RJ - 07-02-2004 96 miata + rollbar/belts/tires - Mike - 07-02-2004 .RJ Wrote:96 miata + rollbar/belts/tires and an itty bitty (t3/t4) turbo. - Feersty - 07-02-2004 JMULT1 Wrote:I'd prefer to keep it in or around 7k. So you got $7000 sitting in your bank account, or are you going to take out a loan? - Mike - 07-02-2004 Feersty Wrote:JMULT1 Wrote:I'd prefer to keep it in or around 7k.
