You know, I saw that on Tuesday and he's right...to a point.
System Shock 2 was good. It wasn't GREAT, and it certainly wasn't as good as System Shock. Sure, SHODAN is a straight-up scary bitch, and the game had good atmosphere but that's about all it had. Parts were scary, and yeah it was difficult, but the story *sucked* and the whole game really seemed like a half-ass effort at a System-Shock-esque game...not really SS.
But that's me hating on system shock 2, not bioshock. Yahtzee's all "Bioshock is SS2 with with a copy of Atlas Shrugged" but it's both more than that and less. The story's about a million times better, the gameplay is much, much easier, and the RPG elements he's "missing" in Bioshock weren't really all that relevant to SS2, either. I mean, hell, when I played SS2 I didn't go around trying to check my inventory, and I don't even think I used my psi-amp even once. Maybe I missed something in the gameplay by doing it that way but it just didn't really seem to thrill me. Bioshock is a good came and it's shockingly deep for a console game. Yeah, they borrowed heavily from Fallout but it's not like, you know, Fallout's doing anything with fallout, so hey, more power to them.
But it was really funny, so hey.
Also, I'm probably the only fucker in here who even played system shock 2, much less the original System Shock.

Ok the Xbox 360 was dropped off by DHL today.
I have MotoGP 2007 at the house to play for now. I'll write up something on it in about a week or so.What "racing" games are "good?" Forza? the new Forza? PGR? I have played some PGR3 and it was pretty good... but i was wondering what you people were into. and no i'm not buying Dirt.

Has anyone ever had problems with their 360 and the red ring of death?
I'm thinking of buying my roomates with the red ring, and sending it to microsoft b/c they supposedly repair it for free its under warranty, but im worried that since im buying it used they might give me some grief.

i didn't have a read ring, but my 360 stopped reading discs.
used or new, they are still covered under the 3 year warranty.
kaan, motogp 07 sucks, but then again you liked 06 as well, didn't you? forza 2 is great, but i got bored of it after only a couple weeks. pgr3 is a great value, but the new one is coming out soon. regardless, go buy it for a few bucks. and then the sleeper, test drive unlimited was pretty fuckin fun... lots of cars, and you get to just cruise around hawaii doing crazy shit.

Yeah, that would be at our house. Xbox in HDMI is pretty sweet. And I totally have to limit Rex's time playing video games now, so he can do his homework. Yay for buying an Xbox 360 while trying to go to grad school.

i finished GT3 once a year in college... i would study... race something... study... race... study... race... it helped my ADHD issue with studying.
