- Mike - 06-27-2007 no, having a kid. - Evan - 06-27-2007 Kaan Wrote:and i personally want a mig and tig set up for the garage. i just need to figure out how to pay for itif you worked part time job instead of plaing warcraft you would be one rich motherfucker  - Mike - 06-27-2007 start a fucking welding thread if you want! - Evan - 06-27-2007 better than talking about queer shit like "Life Lists" - Mike - 06-27-2007 i'm sorry to hear that you have no goals. - Evan - 06-27-2007 I have plenty of goals, I just dont publish them on the internet and stick a cutesy little name on it.
- BLINGMW - 06-27-2007 And that's.... ok! - Mike - 06-27-2007 i'm willing to bet that shared goals are more often accomplished than private ones. - Evan - 06-27-2007 perhaps, if you have an 'accountability partner' anyway, so back on topic for mikey. does it qualify as 'done' on your life list if you didnt have a list when you did it? or it wasnt a huge priority at the time but turns out to be something you are glad you did? - Apoc - 06-27-2007 I think it's something that you've said "I want to do xyz before I die" regardless of whether or not it predated the list. - Mike - 06-27-2007 the world is my accountability partner. obviously "sleeping with buddhist monks" wouldn't have been on my list before I did it, but since I did, I feel it's worth noting so I added it to my done list... it was a seriously cool side effect of accomplishing another goal (visiting japan). - white_2kgt - 06-27-2007 Mike Wrote:obviously "sleeping with buddhist monks" so, were you pitcher or catcher? - WRXtranceformed - 06-27-2007 I don't like to look at my life that way. I have the specific goals of being successful and to have money not be an issue in my life, as well as typical stuff like owning a nice house someday and a nice car(s). That's about it though really. I don't like to break down my life like that, because it changes so often. My needs, desires, and goals have changed so much since I was a teenager, and I imagine they'll change quite a bit more from 25-30 and beyond. I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm spontaneous, but I think I look at life and my life's goals as something dynamic ... the best things tend to just creep up on me and I take them as they come =) - Mike - 06-27-2007 white_2kgt Wrote:Mike Wrote:obviously "sleeping with buddhist monks" i'm sure you can find the video on youporn. - Evan - 06-27-2007 Mike Wrote:the world is my accountability partner.see thats exactly what Im getting at though, because then you are listing your accomplishments/experiences, not your acheived goals. As a musician, I played for a president and in the macy's parade, which are both accomplisments but Im not sure if I could list them in this context of the life list because it wasnt something that got me out of bed in the morning before I did it. but in retrospect, of course Im very glad I did and consider them noteworthy. - Mike - 06-27-2007 but where do you draw the line? if i hadn't visited alcatraz as a kid, it'd likely be on my list now. if i hadn't already ridden a motorcycle, it'd likely be on my list now. so yes, the goals that i have already accomplished are more accomplishment than attained goals since at the time they were not goals... BUT does that mean i can't ever put them on the list? for the sake of making myself look cool, i added them. - .RJ - 06-27-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:I have the specific goals of being successful and to have money not be an issue in my life, as well as typical stuff like owning a nice house someday and a nice car(s). Materialistic whore! - Mike - 06-27-2007 i've prioritized all but the last 3 (now 2) items in my list... it freaking takes forever due to their crap UI, but i've been chatting with the founders and might hop on board with them so i'll fix it myself ![]() edit: did another... shit i need to go home. - Apoc - 06-27-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:I have the specific goals of being successful and to have money not be an issue in my life, as well as typical stuff like owning a nice house someday and a nice car(s). By specific you mean not specific at all? Everyone has those goals, way to be status quo. If the things you want to do change, then... OMG.... change the list! Evan has a point and that's where Mike and I diverge. I don't have anything on my list that I didn't know I wanted to do until I did it. IMO it just becomes a "cool things I've done" list and that's not the point... for me. - WRXtranceformed - 06-27-2007 .RJ Wrote:WRXtranceformed Wrote:I have the specific goals of being successful and to have money not be an issue in my life, as well as typical stuff like owning a nice house someday and a nice car(s).
