- stevegula - 05-23-2007 1 - hahaha paul got pwned 2 - RJ, you should watch the wear on your pucks. Judging by that picture you're only gonna be sliding on part of the puck and then not too long after that you'll be sliding on the leather above it too. - .paul - 05-23-2007 Got to find that limit and now I konw where to stop

- .paul - 05-23-2007 3 track day crashes in 10 track days - .RJ - 05-23-2007 10 track days? You did what, 5 last year? The bike falling off the trailer counts as a crash! - .paul - 05-23-2007 fawk j00 that does not count. - .RJ - 05-23-2007 stevegula Wrote:2 - RJ, you should watch the wear on your pucks. They look like they've got plenty of 'meat' left before I need to replace them - should they be re-positioned? I've got short fxcking legs too. - .paul - 05-24-2007 look at the way your knee is. Do you think the puck will be taking all the grunt on sliding on the ground? - stevegula - 05-24-2007 .RJ Wrote:stevegula Wrote:2 - RJ, you should watch the wear on your pucks. I think you need to fix your form but it's hard to tell from that picture. Maybe bring them up and to the outside. Could also be a result of your leathers not fitting properly. Why I noticed: because I do/did the same thing and I didn't pick up on it early enough and I ground off one of the velcro tabs on my puck and started wearing into the leather. One side of my puck had plenty of plastic left the other was nearly gone. For me I *think* it's a combination of things - not perfect form, not particularly flexible anymore (which doesn't help with the former), and my leathers are for someone taller so my pucks hang low. Like my balls. So anyway, as you do more kneedragging, just keep an eye out for it. Cheaper to fix form and replace pucks than replace leathers. - .RJ - 05-24-2007 stevegula Wrote:I think you need to fix your form but it's hard to tell from that picture. For sure - got plenty of that to work on. I am not posting pictures from the morning session of that day Gotta get the knee out more, head down, inside elbow down and so on... flexibility isnt too big of a problem, and the leathers fit well other than being a little long in the legs. If I'm going to race eventually I need to get in better shape, because I was pretty wasted after 9 sessions on track and really sore the next 2 days after.I looked at the pucks last night and I think I could stand to reposition them more to the outside, so that I'm using all of it instead of half of it. And paul still sucks. - Mike - 05-24-2007 .paul Wrote:Got to find that limit and now I konw where to stop What, of your credit card? - .paul - 05-24-2007 debt free since 83. bike is strictly play money that i set aside. if i go over it, it is on pause until the pplaymoney account goes up. p.s. (last pic)Nah he's a control rider, they put on orange tshirts over their leathers so other riders can identify them. - mrbaggio - 05-25-2007 I want his job. |
