- Jeff - 04-18-2007 There is an electric VW up by the Mekurs at JMU...It looks like its just sitting as junk. I wonder if any of its batteries and stuff would be useful. Just a though. The batteries and motor are still in it... I checked. - PDenbigh - 04-18-2007 They junked it? :-(. That was being built as I built my thesis. Neat car. 5 speed electric, interesting to drive. Thanks for the tip Jeff. I'll talk to the EV Lab and see what their plans for it are. - Dan - 04-19-2007 PDenbigh Wrote:They junked it? :-(. That was being built as I built my thesis. See if they'll sell it! - Kaan - 04-19-2007 after digging around a friends gsxr in our garage... i dont like how they were built. at least weld wise... i "think" the gsxr can take the largest sproket, but i bet honda wins on all the other counts... the difference would be 1-2 teeth and i bet you could just work with the gear on the motor to compensate. - PDenbigh - 04-19-2007 Awesome man, thanks for looking at his bike! That's exactly the info I needed. I can get the entire rear end from an F4, including wheel, tire, sprocket, brakes, chain, swingarm, shocks and linkage, for $400 shipped. Best deal I've found so far. And it's the Honda option. - Kaan - 04-19-2007 if you need any flat metal cut up with with good edges or need some edges hemmed up let me know. i have been working evenings doing some fab work at the metal shop i used to work at. I might be able to get some metal "cheap" too... say if you wanted an aluminum underbelly. stop getting me thinking about stupid projects that i can burn money i dont have on! I'd really like a super7 car

How cheap Cost/ft for, 2x3x.120, 2x2x.120 and per sheet cost of alum, various gauges. - PDenbigh - 04-19-2007 white_2kgt Wrote:Kaan Wrote:if you need any flat metal cut up with with good edges or need some edges hemmed up let me know. i have been working evenings doing some fab work at the metal shop i used to work at. Do it! - white_2kgt - 04-19-2007 PDenbigh Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:Kaan Wrote:if you need any flat metal cut up with with good edges or need some edges hemmed up let me know. i have been working evenings doing some fab work at the metal shop i used to work at. I heard Alison got American Woodmark, I thought maybe...of course if something has gone sour there I will insert foot in mouth. In my interview with them they had a real problem with my inability to relocate. What's happening with the XR? - .RJ - 05-04-2007 Steve85 Wrote:What's happening with the XR?
