- Beej - 03-19-2004 BJ (yeah, I know) Hunt AIM: Ketchup82 Actually met Sean at a Staunton autocross a couple years ago, but didn't join until this past month or so. Wish I had. Been driving an incredibly slow and rattley 84 318i for ~5 years now and love all things fast and nimble. e30's (and other old school bimmers) are my main obsession, but I can appreciate all (okay, most) cars. Done 7-8 autocrosses or something like that, and will prep the car so I'm comfortable taking it to DE's after graduation this May. Also have a couple dreams of owning a rust free 2002 and a couple thousand other cars. Sting > bling. - Mike - 03-19-2004 Mike Collins Aim: MichaelJComputer Welp I guess I ought to say a thing or two about myself. I joined MM my sophomore year (I think), worked a few events, got hooked, but was stuck in an automatic '91 accord. Junior year I took over duties as President and I still hold them to this day. Last year I bought a civic hatch with a stock ls motor tossed in, very fun car and gets 30-40mpg. After buying the car I really got in to doing my own work, so I've learned quite a few things. I've done two track weekends, maybe 5 autocrosses, pit crewed for a few race teams, and I've karted maybe 5 times. I also have a shitload of time on track as a passenger, a benefit of working as many events as I have (probably the most of any MM member to this date). My future plans include graduating this May, picking up an e36 M3 for street duty, and building the hatch as an Honda Challenge H1 car. - Nick325is - 03-25-2004 Nick Poe AIM:Offcoursee30 I am a freshman and have been in the club since last semester. I discovered MM at the club day back in the fall. I drive a 1990 325is and am interested in most anything with wheels. I have been to a few autocrosses and I plan to do more of those and get some track days in. - BLAIR - 04-01-2004 blair peterman yelloa3gti is my aim name too yellow 98 gti and a silver rabbit gti yellow gti is now army green Got Kraut? - ///M ti - 04-08-2004 Ed Wotring IM: NdlessSummer365 I drive a BMW Compact. I am married (quite happily) to John Chapin, one of the founders, as of June 14 of last year. I used to be hooked on Volkswagens, but b00st came along in the form of our 2004 WRX Wagon, and I think we all know how the rest of the story goes... I am one of the few female members of MM- sorry to take away your "only" title, Lorena! My first taste of autocrossing was viewing down in Verona... soon to be followed by my first drive in the "big black truck of death"- John's F-150 Lightning. Now I have 3 autocrosses under my belt... and b00st rot to the brain. Edited to take out the hour-long drive (each way) to werk... I'm Matt Leech AIM = Drgnfiend I hooked up with MM shortly after it's creation when my best friend RJ dragged me out to an auto-x. He was trying to impress me with his uber skillz, and of course spun out, stalled the engine, and caused a stoppage of the event. If that wasn't bad enough for a first impression the first Track event I worked was the dreaded Valentines Enduro at VIR. OOOH SO COLD. Not being one to give up on an obvious good thing I have attended every NASA event since then, and worked and/or driven in numerous auto-x's (when I could borrow someone's car). Within the last year I have been given the position of NASA Pit Out Chief. Really I'm Grid Chief, but who's paying attention to details. Another handy bit of info I work part time at the indoor go-kart track in Sterling, VA, Allsports Grand Prix, but no this doesn't mean I'll give you a discount or that you can race for free. - damnit458 - 08-30-2004 Keith Galvin AIM=damnit458 Freshman at JMU, from NOVA, driving nothing but hopin to hitch a ride in that supra sometime
