Jesus, stop being such a retard and posting drivel everywhere. Get a clue, some tasks at work, something. Seriously.

That's the question of the day. If I get the money in time and find the one I want, I'll be rollin up in a corvette (god willing). If not, I'll probably be in the truck.

SS- It is a Shelby Daytona. They stopped calling it the Daytona Shelby Z in 1988. It will not be done by the carshow sadly.

- HAULN-SS - 03-16-2007

ah..I knew I got Z from somewhere

- Steve85 - 03-18-2007

I now have a deadline to get the new motor running

- JustinG - 03-18-2007

yes, please steve get that beast up and running.

- Feersty - 03-19-2007

Still up in the air for me.

- BLAIR - 03-20-2007

ill be there ,,, in the GTI for sure.. maybe the SC will be there too with the new motor

- Gs dewd - 03-23-2007

I'll be there

- xvxax - 03-24-2007

I'm going, I'm going to dyno my car

- HAULN-SS - 03-29-2007

changed my registration to show only - the thought just occured to me that if I blew my tranny up on a dyno pull i'd be fux0red ;x

- BLINGMW - 03-29-2007

I would be concerned that if a tranny can't handle a dyno pull that it wouldn't even make it to the show. It's not like a drag race start on a dyno man.

- HAULN-SS - 03-29-2007

Hrmm - I don't know - I guess it's not, is it? I thought you pretty much floored it from a stop on a dyno?

seriously....unless the tranny is sourced from a riding mower i would HOPE any car capable of getting to the show under it's own power can at least spin some rollers once.

No, you slowly bring the revs up, with a car with a manual trans you usually slowly climb through the gears until 4th and then give it the gas

- HAULN-SS - 03-29-2007

hrmm. interesting...i thought hte point was to get from idle to max revs quick as possible

No, the point is to measure Torque and RPM.

- HAULN-SS - 03-29-2007

right, but time is in there somewhere - you have to go some distance in some amount of time to get a measurement - which is where "quick as possible" comes in

no you don't, there is no TIME in the equation (except RPM), you floor it b/c that's how you get the most power. With an auto you have to bring up the revs until the converter locks, then floor it you're not doing that from a stop, even on a clutch you don't start out at idle.
