Who said anything about nickels? I'm all about the pennies, baby!

You did Num Nuts,

by the way, any time you see any shit in a casino talking about a slot machine having good odds, or massive payouts - it means they have ONE of those, somewhere in the vast sea of slots they have in the building.

Well slots is pretty mindless so you can play slots while you're wasted. You get comped drinks in slots too, just have to make sure you sit in a good spot. You won't get drinks as quickly as you would at a table though. In the skill based games the houses odds increase the more drunk you get, that's why they're so quick with the drinks. What's a few more $1 drinks when you're going to lose $100.

You can win at Blackjack but you've got to know what you're doing and be disciplined with your betting and strategy. If you're just going to have fun I agree that it's a bit of work.

Scamming the house at blackjack is really easiest with multiple people anyway. A team is much better to use than to try to do it yourself. I studied this in one of my CS classes, I made a blackjack card counter, that would tell you what to do based on what cards you were dealt, and when/if a table was getting hot. But I don't have the memory to count cards, and electronic stuff is illegal.

So...meh.

Depends on your goals. If you're trying to get 10's of thousands out of the house then team tactics may be necessary but casinos are hip to that stuff now. If you're trying to win a few hundred or a grand-ish you can do it by yourself if you're a good card counter. You can win a few hundred without card counting at all too but that's a luck thing.

Card counting isn't really as difficult as it sounds. Even if you're only keeping track of how many face cards and tens have been played you can increase your odds. Anyone can remember one number. Of course there are more sophisticated counts but even a basic one helps.
