Wanna pick me up on the way there? - xvxax - 02-24-2007 So is the official date Saturday April 14th? I have to go home the weekend before and get my car because I'm too wimpy to have it here :-( - MidasHands - 02-24-2007 Hey Feersty - Wish I could, but I think I may already have a person riding with me. I'm not sure yet if she is going to ride down with me or meet me there. - white_2kgt - 03-13-2007 Did we ever get a final word on this? I need a firm date now to start making plans. As do many others I'm sure, not to mention you guys need to do some flyer drops. - Scott - 03-13-2007 i'd like to know too, if a non-mm person is aloud to show a car (or two) - ScottyB - 03-13-2007 Scott Wrote:i'd like to know too, if a non-mm person is aloud to show a car (or two) absolutely. everyone is allowed to bring their vehicle to show. - .paul - 03-14-2007 is there a speculated date? - DRYFT - 03-14-2007 It will be on the 14th of April. - white_2kgt - 03-14-2007 DRYFT Wrote:It will be on the 14th of April. Is it at your place now? We no longer have car shows on campus? - Mike - 03-14-2007 i hope not... the whole idea is to get foot traffic. - white_2kgt - 03-14-2007 Mike Wrote:i hope not... the whole idea is to get foot traffic. yea, that's what I thought too. Nothing against having shows at the place, but the Spring MM show needs to happen AT JMU. - Ryan T - 03-14-2007 We got more foot traffic and more cars holding the show at Dryft than we've gotten on campus in years. If the idea is the get spectators doesn't it make a lot more sense to hold the show on the side of a 4 lane highway than in a small off-to-the-side barely visible parking lot on campus? Besides, having a dyno at the show adds a whole new level of awesome that we haven't had before. - JustinG - 03-14-2007 agree with ryan, last semesters show as the biggest i have been to, we need to work on some door prizes and stuff though. - G.Irish - 03-14-2007 Yeah its different than what we've done in the past but if they got much better results off campus then I can't argue with that. The only downside is that you might not attract as many potential new student members to the event. Another plus is that you can sell food and have more leeway in what side events you do. So for instance you'd probably never get the campus to approve pocket bikes or a moto stunt show but you could do that off campus. - HAULN-SS - 03-14-2007 burnout contest ftw - white_2kgt - 03-14-2007 Ryan T Wrote:We got more foot traffic and more cars holding the show at Dryft than we've gotten on campus in years. Do you realize that we are down to 1 month and there are NO details about the show? Is there a place for me to park the trailer? - JustinG - 03-14-2007 there should be plenty of room for your trailer there is a huge gravel lot beside the building - Ryan T - 03-14-2007 Yes the show is at Dryft. Yes I realize how much time there is to the show and I'm not concerned. The last 3 shows have had official announcements about a month before the event itself and we've never had any problems. And yes there will be a spot for you to put the trailer. - ViPER1313 - 03-14-2007 white_2kgt Wrote:Ryan T Wrote:We got more foot traffic and more cars holding the show at Dryft than we've gotten on campus in years. JMU put so many disclaimers on what we could do. |
