Have you had an alignment done?

It's supposed to be about 10 degrees warmer there than here - sorry you'll miss it.

If you have single-adjustable Konis, it should only be the compression, not rebound...

And as RJ said, always get an alignment after overhauling your suspension...

Koni yellows adjust rebound, not bump. On most cars, having a bump adjustment can only complicate things. I never had one (although my shocks were revalved) and I never felt like I needed it that bad. Sure I could have made some time with it, but after getting the shocks/spring rates set up I hardly touched them.

If you've replaced a bunch of stuff and not gotten an alignment its going to feel awful - I replaced most of my suspension parts last winter on the integra, got the cage welded in and on my first test drive I thought the car was going to fall apart or something, it was really bad.

I'm just readin' between the lines Wink

- Maengelito - 02-09-2007

dr. dremos is an awesome bar, i love that place. if your gf wanted to go, i dont see whats wrong with that. its not like they're gonna be performing the vagina monologues there or anything. happy birthday mike, sorry i wont be able to make it up to arlington but have some delirium for me.

as far as the car goes, its essentially ready to go for VIR in a couple of weeks. i just need to bed in the ultimates i got in the mail earlier this week and flush the brake fluid. i've got a lot of other car shit to do soon afterwards. look for a new post about it coming soon.

- Kaan - 02-09-2007

if the shoe fits... Smile there wasnt much reading between the lines... it was self explanitory to me Wink

"dremo's has already been decided "

I'd compair that to you flaming hooters down last saturday and then not coming to sweetwater.... i wonder how many erands you finished in that time period?

I thought it was the other way around... I suppose I'm becoming dyslexic...

Anybody have that link to the presentation on the Koni website that spoke to how to tune your suspension to change specific handling characteristics? What are the general rules of thumb again (for both compression and rebound)?

.RJ Wrote:I'm just readin' between the lines Wink

between the lines would be:

girls like liquor and good-flavored drinks including liquor

guys like beer

dreamos doesn't server liquor, but they serve a wide variety of beer.

guys to go dreamos and girls go to dreamos b/c guys want to

Tongue

i'd go to Dr. Dreamo's if i weren't skipping town. Happy Birthday Mike!

http://www.koniracing.com/roadsetup.html

Rules of thumb... car is oversteering on entry, stiffen front and/or soften rear. Car is oversteering on exit, soften front and/or stiffen the rear.

I always ran my rear dampers at full stiff and the fronts went anywhere from full soft to 1 turn in (2.25 turns total) depending on the track. The car loved to be way loose at summit Smile

I wasn't expecting much. It hasn't been aligned yet. I still have some stuff that I gotta bang around before I take it to the shop. The caster is off cause the steering is light as hell and that really creeps me out. I've been driving it nevertheless so I can get use to the car again. I haven't driven it in months.

Apparently the weather is going to be great(50ish) in danville this weekend. That would've been great but it's just too cold to wrench on the car for any significant amount of time.

- .RJ - 02-09-2007

Steering is light because your toe is way out of whack - the car a different ride height than before?

- Kaan - 02-09-2007

Wink His post implies that women dont like beer... thats not completely true. Keep riding the train of poor logic... its different than the train we ran on your mom last night Wink

.RJ Wrote:Steering is light because your toe is way out of whack - the car a different ride height than before?

Same ride height. Toe affects turn in beeyatch. Caster affects steering effort.

Hey, we should go get lunch next week since you'll be doing nothing but jerking off and you'r what, 2 mins from my work?
