A strong gust of wind combined with the fact that it was on a slight incline pushed the car off the jackstands and onto the rotors. It was beautiful. I remember seeing it happen in slow motion from the other side of the street.
Wait, no "I put a fuel pump cutoff protector on my car when it didn't need it and it made it run like shit and be in constant fear of blowing an apex seal?"
Right, I forgot about that. Man, it ran so well with that shit off of there. HAHAHA

When I was in high school, a couple of friends of mine and I were offroading in my old Toyota truck in some random field we found right before a Varsity soccer game. I cut the wheel real hard going like 40 or 45 through a field and I completely ripped the tire off of the rim. I looked out of my window and saw huge chunks of dirt and grass flying from my front tire and though... that's not right!

I once back into my sisters car while it was in the driveway. I was trying to leave the same driveway at the time.

I was parking my trailer with the RX-7 on top of it and since I figured I wasn't moving it far I didn't strap it down. In my third attempt to back the trailer in I lunged forward and stopped to put the truck in reverse when-BA-BAAM!!! RX-7 fell off the front of the trailer. I tried all kinds of shit to get it off the trailer but ended up having to call a semi-tow truck to pick the RX-7 with its crane.

Then there was the time I had one of the Merkurs loaded on the trailer and the weight was distributed improperly and I ended up doing a 4 lane tank slapper in the rain with it...

I've got 3 more trailer stories...and then there was the WRX I crashed...

When I drove the GL I was revving the engine as a joke to my neighbor and put the car back in drive before the revs went down. It was hard explaining the skid marks on the driveway to my parents  .

That and I threw the car in reverse at 40mph.
And I ran it off the road through a ditch
And ran into 2 parked car's trailer balls
And tried to drift it in the rain. On multiple occasions.

I was coming down a steep hill in my old 91 Chrysler Lebaron vert and I had my hand on top of my super cool APC automatic shift knob. When I hit the railroad tracks my hand pushed the car into part for about 50ft. Within a month that tranny was replaced. Not sure if it was related to the ultimate failure, but I'm sure it didn't help

Stupid "Mods" on the Lebaron (first car)
1. Red calipers (and rear drums)
2. Aluminum wheels from an Omni GLH (super ugly)
3. Aftermarket keyless (car had no power locks)
4. Powedercoated valve covers red
5. APC auto knob
6. Reactive muffler...mounted all crooked
7. APC cone airfilter
8. Red velvet seat covers

One time I was working on my friends Ranger and I was drilling drain holes in the bed because he had a solid bed liner. For months after that the truck ran like shit and no one could figure out why. Eventually it was found to be water in the gas...from the huge hole drilled in the filler neck.

was trying to replace the fuel filter in the del sol and didn't have the correct wrench, therefore stripping the nut. It had loosened enough but I couldn't tighten it back down. i tried to start the car and gas sprayed all over the place. had to get it towed to a shop...

was trying to replace rear calipers on my friend's E30 (in the early stages of the build) and spend an hour banging on them with a hammer trying to get them off... finally called Chan who reminded me of the parking brake I probably left on... man that was dumb, then they fell right off.

replaced the oil pan on the BMW and had to remove a ton of the front suspension, cross member, etc to drop the pan. In the process I removed the engine ground wire and then spent 2 weeks trying to figure out why it didn't start... wow

have removed an engine from a convertible E30 and a friend's integra without an engine hoist- using various methods of hoisting the engine up out of the car or pulling out with a truck or jeep.

I don't know if it was as stupid as it was fun, but we put donut tires on the back of my SS and drifted the hell out of that thing for about two hours in the high school parking lot. Ran it until the donut tires were completely shot, put the 275s back on and drove home.

We were replacing a bunch of shit on my friend's turbo neon (which was a HUGE piece of shit btw) and he unbolted something on the bottom of the transmission while I was replacing the plugs and completely covered my garage floor in automatic transmission fluid. Had to push his car back out, clean up the mess and then I drove him to buy more fluid.

a wheel fell of my 240 on my first test drive at about 40 mph.. car fell to the ground and the wheel went rolling by me fast as hell.. bounced off a van the was driving next to me then rolled about 40 mph for about a half a mile.. jumped a curb.. some bushes then stopped about 3 feet from some big glass doors of a office building... yea.. i felt like a dumb shit ( forgot to tighten front lugs on that one wheel)
