What's your advice, enter a class with 2 other cars?

Any have reviews of the GT spec.B? Seems to fit the bill for considerably less.

Drove one when i was looking for a new car, seemed just like a regular legacy GT but with slightly stiffer suspension and a 6th gear, and some ugly ass red leather interior. but by test driving a regular GT you should get the same feel as a spec B IMO. im a big fan of the legacy GT though, def on my list of cars to get when i get outta school.

Damn, my secret is out!

My girl just bought one of the new T5 turbo'd Volvos. It's really nice, the overall fit and finish is impressive. I drove it but didn't get a chance to push it because we were just cruising through town.

Can't go wrong with a Suby though! =D

They had a spec B. on the lot when I got my legacy, and the interior was really shitty looking, lol. The plus side though - I think all those came with Nav, whereas it was an option on the GT limiteds

...and only an option with the automatic.

ah - well, an option none-theless

Bump... Legacy GT and spec.B are still on the short list for when I get my '07 bonus. Thoughts on one versus the other?

- JustinG - 06-16-2007

if you can find a spec b without the shitty red interior i say spec b

Considered an STi Limited? I've sat in plenty of those and they're pretty sweet rides. All the comfort of a Legacy with the power and handling of an STi...

For the price I'd rather have a B6 S4... although what I really want is a B7.

Why are you considering a Spec B then? It starts at the same price as an STi limited...

- Apoc - 06-16-2007

Research seems to indicate that the resale for the spec.B is lower than that of the STI Limited.... although both are pretty hard to find on the used market. I was actually more looking for justification to get the GT over the spec.B. That said, I've not even convinced I want a Legacy anyway. :?

- WRXtranceformed - 06-16-2007

The only big downside of the STi in my mind is the cost to insure it. And I guess gas mileage if you care about that. But you're probably used to that with your S4 ... I was looking into a 2000 S4 a few years ago and it would have cost 3 times what my WRX at the time cost to insure. You're married and probably have multiple cars so that probably won't affect you too much.

High resale value is a good thing though a few years down the line when you go to resell Wink

The Legacy and Spec B are nice, but IMO there isn't really anything that stands out about it.

- Apoc - 06-16-2007

$900/year for full coverage

I'd prefer to buy low and sell low 'cause I don't want to have a car payment. Smile

I was thinkin' maybe MS6 too. I suffer from RJitis.

Forgot to mention that the STI, even on the Limited, is a bit too over the top in styling for me. I am almost 30 and what appealed to me 5 years ago is not really what appeals to me now. Tongue

OMG you're an old man!

Go drive a CTS-V - not AWD and its American, but it is a 4-door 6-speed and has enough vitamin HP to put smiles on anyones face.

- JustinG - 06-16-2007

i thought i heard somewhere their diffs explode

I think their front ends are fairly ugly.

- Ryan T - 06-16-2007

And they grenade diffs.
